(WARNING!) RACIAL PROFILING AGAINST WHITE FAMILIES! My family has enjoyed Cheddars for their food and prices since they came to... Huntsville. Unfortunately, it seems the management changed and has lost all interest in actually managing their employees tomake a better experience for their customers. He showed exactly how he wants his employees to treat white people. This was theworst experience that we have ever had at any restaurant, EVER. I have traveled the world and eaten at multiple restaurants, soI do not say that lightly. Our experience began with a very polite young lady that was attempting to be helpful. She went tospeak with the servers to make sure they were ok to take additional tables, which we understood due to all businesses having lowstaffing. However, her coworker came and started what would become the most horrible experience we've had. To begin, while theother girl was checking, she came and told us it'd be at least 15 minutes for a table. When the other girl came back and statedthe table was ready, the coworker became upset that she had to seat us. When we thanked her for her help seating us, she said"whatever" and walked off. This was the first indication we should leave, but we didn't want 1 person to ruin our evening.Unluckily for us, it only continued to get worse. The rude worker that seated us then stood by our table talking with anothercoworker loudly, while on her phone as customers walked in. (I have photos) As we sat, we noticed that tables with white people(There were 3 that we could see directly) were not being acknowledged, while all the black families (There were 4 that we couldsee) were attended to right away. This was including our table, of course. The entire time we were there we watched how theytreated black families, compared to white families due to this. We had absolutely awful service! We sat at the bar and two people sat next to us. They had their steak dinners before we even... had salads. We had to ask for our sodas after 10+ mins. When my salad arrived and was disgusting, that was the last straw. Iasked for a manger, and after several minutes waiting, we left. Never again! Read more

Well I loved Cheddars up in Rockford IL and cried when they closed. Saw that there was one here and I got so excited!!! Much to... my surprise service and food were slow and our order was wrong. We ordered the steak medium rare and mine was a little burned(not charred) on one side and hardly flame kissed on the other. It was chewy and dry too. My mothers was still blue on theinside. They do not have the twice baked potato on the menu. The broccoli and cheese casserole was just cheese rice andbroccoli. It really needed to cook a bit longer to develop flavor. Also my Mother ordered her steak with coconut shrimp and theybrought out spicy grilled shrimp. The ribs I ordered with my steak were yummy so I do recommend those. We ordered the strawberrysweet tart drink to take the glass home and no mention of rinsing them out or even giving us a bag for all the take home. I alsodidn't get my salad. It was a big let down for me. We will not go back. Comparing the price of food and the service (sat for15min before waiter came to tale our drink orders and say Hi) we received it just cost too much for the 1.5hr drive to getthere. Read more

Where do I begin? from the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with negative service. In the spirit of second chances,... we decided to order food? that was a mistake. Ordered a steak ?medium? and came out very rare and cold. I tried a side ofbroccoli casserole and immediately felt sick. The food was rotten, expired, and disgusting! Our server was untrained and rude.He served our salads with his thumb in the dressing, and he used his hands to squeeze the lemon in my water. Who does this? Had the grilled salmon with red beans and rice with country green beans. the salmon was great, the red beans and ricenwas... deceiving. If you are expecting a New Orleans style, it's not. The only seasoning they had was my least favorite(salt). Greenbeans were reminiscent of my Grandmothers when she used to cook them with some pork. This is a great place to try out if you have a weekend to spare. Though it can also become quite crowded on the weekend with... waits sometime going above 40 mins (sometimes but not always) it can still be worth it. The staff is kind and do their best tomake sure you are taken care of. Yet again on a crowded day it can take them some time to get back around to your table,specifically for a smaller party so make sure you try to get everything you need from them the first time before they head off. The food is great and leaves you wanting more, although some menu items tend to leave from time to time (one time the reasongiven was if it does not sell a lot they will remove it at that location). The prices are fair also *usually around 14-20* forthe better dishes, though it would not be a place I would eat at every week but maybe once or twice a month. Read more

Looks are deceiving. Food looks great right? It wasn't. It was cold, the waiter was rude, and the toast was rock hard and cold... also. Would not replace the plate only reheat it which took all the flavor out of it. The table was filthy and was not cleanedbefore sitting me. The broccoli casserole was good though. Read more
