Great drink menu and great chips and salsa. Service was great but sadly the food was a total let down. The best way to describe... the food was bland. The most bizarre thing was that the beans were TERRIBLE, they tasted like pinto beans blended up out of acan without any added seasoning. It is a crime to have a mexican restaurant and have horrendous refried beans like theirs. Ireally hope they read this review and change their bean recipe because it is really really bad. I feel bad having to write anegative review because normally restaurants have relatively good food but this was straight up bland. Read more

Great carna asada tacos. Brie is super nice. Good atmosphere, Sat outside at the bar.

Walked up to the front patio with my dog, worker walked up to us, didn?t say hi or welcome, and right off the bat said ?no dog,... look at the sign.? Looked around, and didn?t see anything, so asked not even on the patio, he replied: ?look at sign, no dog?with a total attitude. Went to the newly opened Caliente Mexican Restaurant on grand opening night. It?s in the former Mojos Sandwiches and previous... The Hangout restaurant location. There were some opening night jitters and missteps as to be expected, my meal was good though.So I?m just reviewing based on first night which isn?t a truly fair review. Stopped in for some chips and salsa. This place has a great atmosphere and good vibes. Everything is made authentic and with... extra love. Left with a happy tummy for sure and while I don?t do it too often, I order a drink as well. They looked way toogood not to try :) Read more
