Family of 4 having dinner, 2 of us having the twice baked potato plate with trip tip. Meat was very chewy, not tender at all.... Food was luke warm, had to be sent back for re-heating. One in our family had the 3 meat plate. Ribs and brisket were tough.Definitely not slow cooked. Hot link was okay as was the pull pork. Visiting from Texas and definitely not mesquite smoked. Also, no child?s menu offered. Read more

I've been a customer in the previous location and had some good orders there. There meal today did not meet my expectations in... the new location, some growing pains apparently. The meat was greasy and lacked flavor, sides were hit or miss. Beans and potatsalad OK but Mac n cheese was overcooked and not creamy with cheese. The Cole Slaw was terrible tasted like way too muchvinegar. Brisket was some well done end cuts, and ribs were dry, no sauce was provided. The brisket sandwich was soggy withgrease and vinegar from the slaw on it, had to eat it with a fork after putting some bbq sauce on the meat - my own JackDaniel's sauce. Read more

Had an unfortunate experience but none that had to do with the taste of the food. Waiter was not educated on the menu and... unfortunately led us to a conversation with the owner who was condescending with his syrupy sweet customer service voice whiletaking away our food trays before a decision was decided on our issue. He spoke down to us like we either didn?t understand whatwe ordered and mansplained to my bearded husband what a short rib was and then that we couldn?t afford to get what we wantedeven though my husband said ??I don?t care what it costs I?ll pay it? the problem was their menu and the waiter who didn?t knowto tell us what we ordered didn?t exist even though the menu didn?t exclude any meats from being a part of the ?plate choices? The owner decided what he wanted to do to remedy the situation already made up in his mind and didn?t want to hear what wewanted (which was to buy a whole other plate! But either he was judging us because we aren?t Huntington Harbor type or just isstubborn) His remedy was to take away the three choice meats and replace with a short rib plate which is one rib but he will?add a second for this inconvience? That?s not even CLOSE to what we wanted! We are avid BBQ family even just returned from aTexas trip that week where we checked a few top 50 in Texas BBQ off our list. We like to sample multiple items when trying a newplace out?. This place is not run like a Texas BBQ. My tri tip (i only ordered because that did not have brisket that day) wassashimi style thinly cut with un even slices that came pre drizzled with their bbq sauce! (I don?t like to have bbq sauce onevery bite so I was bummed) My second choice was Hot Links and I had a massive pile of the cheap meat drenched in BBQ sauce. Thechoice of sides is super stereotypical with no flair. In Texas they get creative like Green Chile Mac and cheese, Serrano glazedBrussel sprouts, wasabi coleslaw?. I only got to take a bite of the their basic coleslaw before I le Read more

This was my second visit here, this time work a group of 7. Most of us ordered the brisket sandwich, one got the brisket... plate. I thought it was just ok. The sandwiches had lots of meat on them but it was barely Luke warm. Mac n cheese was tastybut the noodles were over cooked. It also needed salt & pepper but there was not any on the table. The bbq beans were spicy butvery sweet. My coworker did not like them. The collard greens were amazing. She said she?d come back just for them! The potatosalad was good but not my favorite. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service but a bit pricey for just ok food. Read more
