Southtown Pizza is dynamite - they make GREAT traditional pizza & specialty pies, the dough is always evenly cooked & just... excellent and how every pizza crust should be. Those little pepperoni knots are amazing - when we have friends & familyvisiting from out of town, we basically always order pizza & knots from Southdown - in the words of my "NY transplant" familymembers "this is how pizza is supposed to taste, oh my god" (what they've got down in Texas isn't cuttin 'it for them, lol).This is one of my favorite local places, and it's easily the #1 take out for out of towners (I've got more than 1 friend thatspecifically requests "the special pepperoni knot place" when they visit - I love how something so small is so enjoyable likethat). They're also VERY reasonably priced - especially for Huntington, lol. I like to mix it up sometimes or try new flavorcombos, so I'm a big fan on the 12" mini pizza - it's the perfect size for 2 people to split, and if you're trying out atoppings combo you're on the fence about, it's ideal! They're also super cool about special requests, and, they are hands downthe most consistent with takeout & delivery of any restaurant in Huntington, pizza or otherwise. Honestly since covid, a lot oftake out / delivery orders from many other restaurants have been missing items, taking forever, or just straight up the wrongorders, and we all know that sucks when it happens. But Southdown is on the ball - my husband & I both work very long hours, andget takeout regularly, and I'm never stressed & double checking Southdown orders because they are organized and consistent ontop of being pizza masters. I know the stuff we ordered is what's in the bag before I open it, which is honestly exactly what'sneeded on those crazy long days where you just want to go home and eat dinner and not have to think about it. Really enjoyed our first time meal from Southdown. Ordered pizza, pasta and several appetizers and sides. Ingredients were... fresh, dishes were flavorful and food arrived on time and hot from the kitchen. Staff was also very courteous while takingorder and upon delivery. Will definitely order again! I can't believe I gave them an afternoon Pizza delivery order, I did not use the coupon(2 for 1) due to... trying to support the... local business. I ordered...1 lg salad, 1 lg cheese pizza, 1 lg cheese pizza with pepperoni. I asked them to deliver it to alocal business, as a, Thank You, less than 2 city blocks distant. I was going to include a $5.00 tip for the delivery person....until the woman cashier rang up the bill and told me there was a $2.00 delivery charge. I have been a customer of theirs' formore than 10 years. I really like some of their foods but will never, ever give them my business. Read more
I have always felt that this place is a hidden gem in Huntington seeing as how it?s tucked away from the hustle and bustle of... Main Street. But I love a good slice of cheese pizza from here as well as I have size of one of their many specialty pizzas thatthey offer. Don?t expect any glitz glam from in this place but the food is good and affordable and the service is always kindand courteous. Read more
