Amazing Lunch! Worth the detour off I-69. This pork tenderloin sandwich was not just a gimmick, it was delicious! The fries were... fresh cut. Won't drive by without stopping. Read more

Huge portions and friendly atmosphere. We couldn't decide there were so many specials. We ended up with chicken noodles,... mashed potatoes, Salisbury steak, fried potatoes, baked beans. We also got the mac & cheese appetizer & it was the highlightof the meal. Also they have coke in a glass bottle which I love!! Definitely glad we stopped, it's a shame we live 2hours awaybecause there's so much more I want to try on the menu. Oh, I almost forgot, they have really good pie flights! Read more

I've made a terrible mistake - I waited over 20 years to try this place and I have no idea why. I finally stopped by for brunch... and it was outstanding. I had the breakfast bowl and the portions were good and the bottom layer of hash browns were extracrispy. My wife had the tenderloin biscuit and, no surprise, it was also great. The coffee was weak, but they kept the refillscoming until I had the shakes. As a bonus, they have some kind of spicy ketchup at the tables that goes well on anything thatrhymes with "tato". Service was on-point and the prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to swing by again and try some morethings. Read more

We stopped here on a roadtrip, because of its reputation for the pork tenderloin sandwich, which was only one of our selections.... We found it to be good, crispy and juicy. I did not think it was the best I had ever eaten. The breaded mushrooms were alsotasty, crispy and not greasy. I ordered the special, chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes, but was pretty disappointed. Itwas not at all what I expected. I found very little chicken, and the broth was watery, and did not have much flavor. To me, itdid not taste homemade. The mashed potatoes were very bland, and truthfully, I could not tell if they were scratch or instant. The service was lacking, because there was only 1 waitress for the entire place. To her credit, she kindly waived the cost onour milkshakes because they took the entire meal before we received them. The bathroom was very dirty, smelled bad and had wetfloors, and the basket was overflowing. I did like the diner ambiance,, as a whole, and it was a comfortable restaurant. Irealize some of the issues were because of the times we live in, with workers being difficult to find. But because of myexperience as a whole, I can't give a rating higher than about 3.5. Read more

I stopped by Nick's Kitchen on my way back to Ohio from Purdue. It wasn't far off my route (2 miles maybe) and it was... absolutely worth the minor detour. You won't find a better pork tenderloin sandwich anywhere in the state on Indiana than atNick's Kitchen. It's crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning and the perfect thickness of pork. The size will notdisappoint. I enjoyed trimming off the skirt and eating each piece with either the pickles and some fresh onion or the spicyketchup at the table. But save some onion and pickles once you've finished off the over flow to tuck between the bun. I optedto forgoe the side with the sandwich in lieu of a slice of fresh pie. Nick's is proud of their homemade Sugar Creme Pie and Icouldn't say no. It was the perfect after meal finisher. It had a crunchy topping with a smooth sweet interior that justnaturally dissolved in your mouth. If you're passing through the area, swing by for a bite, it will not disappoint. Read more
