Best restaurant! When you are thinking New Orleans in North Carolina? It won't be the same. You are wrong! When you first walk... in the door its like being transported to Bourbon St. Our waitress was Michelle. I always like to ask what's good and she ravedabout everything. I loved that they bring a sample platter of the gumbo/classics to try. We ordered three appetizer (boudinballs, fried pickles, fried gator). Boudin balls for the win! Both pastas were ordered and a small and large shrimp and grits. Then the Beignets, *chef kiss*. All for a great price. I can only imagine how this place incorporates fat Tuesday or jazz oreven game day for the Saints. I'm not in state but would make this a part of my trip if I traveled back to NC. Read more

This is my lil hideaway spot! I come every year for my birthday ever since they opened, like a treat to myself! If I am in the... mood for some of that down-south vibe, no matter what part of Charlotte I'm in, I'm headed this way! My favorite thing to get isfried gator, BEST in the whole city I promise you! Best service all of the time, can't get any better than this place. Lovey'all ???? Read more

Our server was outstanding! Very friendly. Love the idea of bringing out samples of Gumbo to try. Disappointed in the amount of... rice added to the bowl of Gumbo I received. Overall though the Gumbo was the best part of the meal. Ordered a plate of fish andshrimp as well. The fish had a great breading but was as bland as a white piece of loaf bread. Everything just seemed a littlebland. Read more

Took my mother here for mother's day. Very nice place. Friendly staff. Food is good. The red beans and rice did not have any... flavor but after I doctored it up it was good. The prices are good for a seafood menu. I would like to see claim chowder getadded to the menu. Gator bites are well flavored and good. Read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch yesterday because we were in the area. It was our first time visiting and we were very... impressed. Our server was Brad, who was outstanding (although he let us know he was filling in from Raleigh). Because he hadn'tbeen before, we were given samples of some of their most popular dishes. (The Lobster Bisque is amazing!) I ended up gettingthe Chicken and Sausage and my husband got the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. Both were so good. They had King Cake on the menu fordessert when we were in, so we decided to try a piece. It definitely hit the spot for satisfying our sweet tooth. We'lldefinitely be back...there are too many other items we want to try for us not to return! I'm sure they'll all be as great aswhat we've already had. Read more

Was nearby and stopped in. This place had a fun vibe and felt like a family run business. Our waitress was quick and friendly.... The menu had a ton of authentic Cajun items. I wanted to try them all. I had the jambalaya with chicken and sausages. Good sizeportions and very tasty. Pretty close to the real deal (I have been to New Orleans). We had a couple of Beignets they were hot, fresh and authentic. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed.I am going back Read more

Still trying to figure out what all the hype is about this place ? We decided to check them out a few days ago while we were in... the area . ??I'm going to give them an A for the New Orleans vibes it's giving off In the establishment that part far as thelook inside was a pass for sure . Our waitress I can't recall her name she gave us both I don't feel like being at work todaykind of vibes . We asked her for recommendations and her reply was I mean it's just regular food . Oh no that is big no no . Soof coarse we weren't excited at the least to try the food at this point . ??The drinks we ordered were great . Our food was ok ,we decided to play it safe since the waitress let us know the food was just regular . I was expecting a bit more flavor from thepo boys which it did not really give . The oysters were not to either of our liking they had a weird taste as if they were badbatch of oysters . So it's pretty safe to say this is a place I would just come for drinks and hopefully it's a differentwaitress there if I decide to go back . Read more
