I have had the good fortune of eating Pizza in Italy. Inizio does it right! I called Jeff, the manager, over to our table. And... I told him that I am really impressed. He told us the ingredients come from Italy. We had the Raffaele. The sausage & sweetpepper just combine beautifully! You really feel like you are having a taste of Italy! They have a very decent size indoordining area & outdoor seating is also available. One of the best pizzas in the town. It is better than the location in downtown Charlotte. The pizza is very delicious, the... portion of the pizza is large, and the price is excellent. The pizza that has mushrooms is the best. The restaurant is quitecomfortable. The seating is good, and the ambiance is good. They have a great parking space, lots of parking spaces areavailable. Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten, and I'm a foodie. Specialty oven makes the crust a cut above. The pistachio pizza was... out of this world. I also really enjoyed the margarita and marinara pizzas. Treat yourself to something that will really hit thespot. Nice outdoor seating too. Close to Sam Furr Road. We've been looking for another pizza place to fill the void that our all-time favorite pizza place created when its only branch... in Charlotte permanently closed. Inizio came close. Their pizza is good. Thin but not paper thin. For Spicy lover, the Diavolais a must-order pizza. The spicy salami is not that spicy to me, but the whole Calabrian pepper pieces are an added kick but notso much to burn your mouth. The Margherita is also very flavorful and great for vegetarians! Best of all, the Cannolis aresweetened just right. Lemon cannoli have thin slices of fresh lemon and oreo cannoli have crushed Oreo cookies at both ends.Also, a thing to note, they only offer limited bottled or canned soda, sparkling water, wine and craft beers. I was reading a few of the negative comments and i think it's all based on preference. Yes the crust is thin and yes the edges... can have a more cooked spot but this is a wood burner and that's how these types of pizzas turn out. The flavors are amazing andthe gelato ice cream was on point. Also yes, this is a self serve place... Meaning you grab your plates, napkins and fork but idon't think i ate better pizza anywhere else.
