This far exceeded my expectations!! Ordered the pulled pork meal, with waffle fries, baked beans and corn muffin. The pork was a... heaping quantity, super smoked to perfection and served on delicious buttery bread! Wife ordered the hot beef, with mashedpotatoes and lots of gravy. She ranted and raved about how great it was! Service was excellent and drinks are cheap. I got thebeer of the month (Budweiser) for 2 bucks! Mixed drink was only 4 50, what a deal! Really disappointed with this place. The only reason I give them two stars was the BBQ sauce was good but tasted store bought.... We went today for the Father's Day Brunch Buffet. The server was awful. Did not mention anything about the tea being unsweet thowe ordered sweet tea. They apparently don't have sweet tea yet he didn't have sugar or anything for us to sweeten it. Then thebuffet was such a disappointment for the price. Nothing was really very good. Ok the marshmallows on the chocolate fondue barwere wonderful...typical store-bought but delicious, same ones we buy at home. Also the ribs were alright. So there's the twostars. That server tho! Maybe it was his first day? The server charged us for what should have been a free under 5 yr old meal. Then he was dazed and confused whenever we asked him for anything let alone fixing our bill. Maybe 2.5 stars today? Has potential I didn't partake in, re smoked meat dishes, but, for me, it fell short of three stars for... the price point. Not a lot of interesting options along the way nearby. Pass through here several times a month. Picturesposted here G weren't accurate? Bacon cheese burger came with two, not four strips of bacon. They were pedestrian at best,nothing special. Saw a picture of 6 boneless wings in three flavors. I was told they are only available as one flavor per six.Ok. They were the daily special. Water had some funky sweetened flavor to it, possibly residual from the bar gun? I don't know,but, it soured my appetite right off. The flavor of the burger patty was good, and the "boneless wings" were solid white meat.I'd bet the smoked meat dishes would satisfy moreso. I know a couple sure things in Mitchell and likely to stick to them. Ionly ordered the bacon as it seemed hyped up as something special. That shortage and the funky ice water left me with regrets. Fantastic. I had the rib tips and they were tasty and juicy, just melted in your mouth. I tried the beef tips and they were out... of this world as well. My son had The Diablo and loved the jalapeño bacon. We had poutine and cheese curds for a starter andthey were a great way to start the meal. So glad we took the exit to eat here. Our family likes this little hideout, we try to stop on our way to Sioux Falls. Wings and daily specials are great.
