I was there today: ordered noodle with beef, spicy crispy chicken and shrimp vegetables: it was all gone to garbage. The food... was horrible . The ribbon noodles and beef had a very strong taste of rotten garlic and no other flavor, the crispy chicken wasrubbery with an insane amount of pepper, the shrimp was tasteless. I was able to realize that all they do is warming up up foodfrom buckets in the fridge. It is not a restaurant . I find it disrespectful to serve warmed up food to customers. I was there afew weeks ago and ordered 3 fishes that were good. This time it went straight to trash. Another Chinese cafe off my list.willnot go back. Read more
Still delicious but FYI - the restaurant is currently pick-up only. They don?t have an obligation to go back to dine-in like the... reviewer below said. Was excited and had been planning to eat there at some point in time during my stay all week. Finally went there expecting to... dine in but was not so nicely informed take out only...no, I want to sit and eat so we left and chose another restaurant. Sodisappointed cause I was really wanting to eat there and possibly leave an awesome review of the food. A restaurant is about adining experience just as much as the food. Great place for Chinese takeout that is not in Bellaire or Katy! However beware, everything is really juicy so open with... caution. Got the bok chop with mushrooms and tofu and that is a really good dish. That and the boiling hot beef noodle soup (itwas still so hot 40 minutes after I picked it up!) made my tummy happy. Food is very fast (15 minutes), are huge portions at adecent price. What you see in the picture is $25 and is honestly good for three full meals. The BEST duck in Houston area. I live a whole HOUR away, south west of Houston. China town is closer for me, and I will drive... all the way to Bamboo House for this duck. Also the lunch special portions are HUGE. Large enough for 2 people. I ordered a fullduck and split it with my aunt. We only finished half and still had the other half left. I love that the buns are thin likecrepes instead of the thicker buns. You can eat more with these buns that they make in house. So much better than the thickerfluffy buns. My uncle ordered the kung pao chicken lunch special and said it was delicious. He also ordered hot and sour soupwhich he said was really good compared to many places he?s ordered from. I had the egg drop soup which in my opinion is one ofthe better egg drop soups I?ve had. Lunch special came with an egg roll. I personally prefer Vietnamese style egg rolls anddon?t usually like Chinese egg rolls but I actually liked their egg roll! Everything was great.
