They come from California supposedly, I used to live there and had dollar fish tacos (and other options) It?s way over priced,... with cheap ingredients. + the chips and salsa are bought from next store at the convenience store. the wait for pick up isextremely long. Service is always fast, food is delightful. Quesadillas are so good that you might have to order a second one even though the... first one is very filling and you cant go wrong with the tacos. Gabe the bartender was very friendly and great with drinkrecommendations. Highly recommend.. Read more
Earlier, my girlfriend left a review critiquing the service she received at this location. Her review was a little too nice:... what we experienced was some of the worst service I could ever imagine. Our server was rude, incorrect, and unprofessional. Mygirlfriend showed her LEGAL ID and the server insisted that it was fake - it was not! Otherwise, the food took EXTREMELY long tomake - much longer than it had ever previously. Overall, I am deeply saddened by this service and it ruined my great day. I willNEVER be coming here again and wish I could rate -5/5. Good riddance. Read more
I have been a fan of this place for awhile now, overpriced for the portions but the food is always good, which the only reason I... am not giving them a 1. However, my most recent time going I arrived a little earlier than my pickup time so it wasn?t ready butone of the ladies working there (i wish i had gotten her name because i have never had an experience like this with any otheremployee there) gave me the most passive aggressive comment after I had apologized and told her I would come back. When I cameback later she asked for my ID since I ordered two drinks I gave her my license where she proceeded to question it. Afterbending it every which way she told me my picture looked fake. She asked for another form of ID but that was all I had on me soI went through my camera roll to find a picture of my passport or covid card. I quickly found my covid card and even still shewas hesitant even though the birth date on the card matched my license. At this point I didn?t know what to tell her I had areal Massachusetts ID and a real covid card but she was still insanely rude to me. Since the second time I walked in therestaurant she was staring me down like I had done something wrong and made me feel very unwelcome. Upsetting because this istruly a place I loved to go to and would recommend about to my friends but I will now be hesitant to visit again because I don?twant to deal with her horrible customer service ever again. Delicious fish tacos. Fun drinks. Small place but really the perfect size. 8 or 10 seats at the bar. Same number of small... tables. Middle of the day on a weekend was great. Bartender was also the waitress. She took the time to make us a couple ofcreative drinks. Also had a house margarita which was good. Been there 10 or 15 times and have only tried the fish tacos. Ozzy and the entire team at California Underground are amazing! We recently hosted our Welcome Party during our wedding weekend... here and everything from the food to the drinks was outstanding. Ozzy was phenomenal to work with and even let us privately rentout the space for the evening. She helped us plan the menu and details for the event and was so approachable and responsive.
