Awesome golf course! In nearly perfect condition, challenging and unique holes. Easily one of the best public golf courses I've... played. It is slightly expensive but I'd say it's worth it at least once Read more

Absolute Must Play! Hats off to the grounds crew! Course conditions were amazing! The course plays very risk/ reward, many, many... bunkers with blind landing zones. Carts have accurate GPS screens with good distance markers to hazards, VERY helpful for firsttime playing the course, as it was pretty deceiving. Worth every penny! Read more

In June of 2022, we had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Troy Burne and would highly recommend it as your... wedding venue! The grounds and views are absolutely stunning. There was no need for a photo booth or backdrop because all guestshad to do was step anywhere outside for a gorgeous background. We got a ton of compliments on how tasty the food was and theportion sizes. More importantly? the bar area is big and service for drinks was quick. In all honesty, I was nervous when ourwedding coordinator changed hands a couple months before our wedding. However, the transition was seamless. The coordinators hadgood communication, and Ali and Lauren, who took over the position, were quick to set up meetings to ensure they understood andcould execute our wedding vision. They responded to emails timely, met numerous times both in-person and virtually with us, andquickly figured out the answers to alllll of our questions. They also took us out on the course a few weeks prior to our weddingto figure out where we would want to take pictures. Ali and Lauren not only helped us plan but were both there day of, makingsure our day went off without a hitch, from start to finish. I am so, so grateful for both of them. They are energetic, innovative, and just plain fun. Because of their presence, I was able to truly enjoy our day and knew everything was taken careof. Last, but certainly not least, we got a couple **free** passes to golf. I mean really, what more could you ask for? Read more

Amazing course as always but the last time I played with my father and a good friend, my father was side swiped/ t bones coming... around a blind corner after hole #2. He was just fine and reassured the cart girl that everything was ok. 2 holes later thecourse ranger came out and harassed us while we were putting. He kept asking our story time after time when there was no storyother than that she hit him pretty hard. Turns out she broke the front axel on the cart and blamed it on my dad. They made usstop in the club house at the turn and interrogated us for about 15 minutes and then let us back out to play. They were notforgiving at all for having us wait and never once got an apology from the cart girl afterwards. Read more

Troy Burne offers a country club experience to the general public with great staff and excellent golf. Driving range is... awkwardly situated across the road but nice with a lot of targets. Putting green is huge with all cut holes (not a norm at somegolf courses). I really wish they had a separate sand/chipping practice area (e.g. loggers trail or oak marsh) but new ownershipmay listen and add. The course is exactly what you want. Challenging but fair with two distinct 9 holes. Front nine is widefairways with fescue and traps that force you to think. Back nine is water with some trees and the same traps. Maybe a littletighter but it might just be the water that makes it more visually challenging. I?d go back in a heartbeat. Walking without apushcart would be tough. It?s spaced out. With a pushcart it?s doable on a nice day but there?s not a lot of shade as it trendslinks golf. I?d splurge for a cart and those carts are about the best I?ve ever rented here in the Midwest. Overall go. Youwon?t be disappointed even when you shoot over 90. Read more

Always a course I wanted to play for a long time, sadly completely dried out due to the watering ban in the area I believe. Also... sad but customer service was the reason I won?t be coming back anytime soon. They were completely out of carts due to a wedding.I would say plan ahead since it was a Saturday (busiest day of the week), staff told me this happens all the time too. We didn'tget our carts until 5 minutes before our tee time, no starter to direct us to the first tee or range, only a couple of us gottokens for a "warm up" bucket even though there were 6 of us, then harped on our group to get the tee box like it was our faultfor the delay for slow play on the course and shortage of carts. Didn't personally see the head pro doing any directing that daymyself but that doesn't mean he wasn't there. For the cost ($120 with cart) I?ve played courses for a 1/3rd that cost that hadbetter service and left feeling that much better about the round. I?m a positive person and being a former pro in the golfindustry it?s tough to write such a bad review. At least I played well that day and weather was ideal. Read more
