Reviews for Yi Peng Thai Dining in Houston, TX
Yi Peng is our new Thai restaurant to go to eat excellent food near where we live. This is our third time here. The first time... a customer said he really admired the waiter’s shirt and they gave him one. This restaurant has exquisite food, greatservice, and Thai atmosphere. The veggie spring rolls are the best we tasted in the USA. My wife said they taste likeVenezuelan lumpia. The chicken is moist and delicious. The shrimp dish was great. Give it a try. Read more

I looked up too new restaurants to try in Houston and this came up on my list. It did not disappoint. I loved the decor and... atmosphere when you first walk in. The hostess was so nice and we were seated and served immediately. Ordered the ribs, padThai, and Freire cracker shrimp. There are only positive things the say about everything. I wish the shrimp didn’t still havethe legs on them, but first world problems. Will definitely go back Read more
Good oriental vibes with lots of decorations, even the lady’s room has beautiful paintings. I’m not a good fans of sweet... curry but my friend’s chicken noodles are good, soup is dandy but a bit too small. The high Thai cocktail I ordered is reallygood. Read more
Nice addition to the city centre. The atmosphere was lovely and the quality of the thai food was standard.I visited on a Monday... evening and it was a slow, quiet night. Customer service was friendly and there was no wait to get seating (they have plenty ofseating inside, including a bar). Soup: I ordered the Tom Yum soup and asked for shrimp without the head (because that wasoffered on the menu which is unusual) and asked for it to be spicy. Ther portion was pretty small and it came with two pieces ofmedium sized shrimp. It was pretty much just both. It was perfectly spicy though. Main dish: Pad Kee Mao with chicken. This wasvery tasty and if I'm back in the square craving thai food, I'd most likely order this again. This was a large portion asexpected and I was able to take half to go. Drink: Thai tea - also standard and got the job done! I appreciate that thecustomer service was friendly and attentive. Overall Yi Peng is worth a visit if you're in the City Centre and itching for somethai food. Read more
