May be 4.5 stars !! Dishes were great. Red curry was spicy. Thai fried rice was delicious and had unique taste. Was doubtful... about the atmosphere, but it was really good. Pleasant. (+1$ increase in their Menu). Read more

Legit Thai food that was super fast and authentic! Had the green curry and pad see ew. Fair warning the green curry was very... spicy but delicious! Great for a business lunch as we were able to get our food and bill within 15 minutes. Read more

Restaurant closes at 8pm says the manager who came out to perform a dance while chanting ?We?re closed? in the most humiliating... taunting manner. This was one of the most distasteful experience I?ve ever endured, while simply attempting to nurture my friendand I. I called the restaurant and received ?We?re closed? from the other end, I stated that google reflected anothertime(9:30pm) and was told ?Don?t look at google? to my surprise. I was also informed that the restaurant has been closing at 8pmfor the past 3 years. We arrived at 8:47pm and were denied service? Well we were served a plethora of unapologetic rudeness. Ishare my review saddened and disappointed, in hopes to save you time and gas. Pssst? I took this photo as I pulled away fortime stamp, but the cheerleader darted inside to avoid being photographed leaving the door open. Read more

After searching for Thai restaurants in Houston, I finally decided to try Vieng Thai. As the restaurant was recommended on... Zagat?s 10 Tempting Thai Restaurants to Try in Houston, I expected a great meal. But, I left the restaurant slightlydisappointed. As I normally do, I ordered Thai Iced Tea. The taste was bitter, and the milk was very sweet. I?m not sure how toexplain the taste, but it wasn?t the typical sweet and punchy taste I?m used to. Next, I ordered the Papaya Salad, andrequested SPICY ????. It was good. Super spicy, but good. Finally, I ordered Chicken Pad Thai. The noodles themselves weregood. The bean sprouts were fresh. The crushed peanuts and powdered chili were added on the side for added taste and texture. However, the sauce of the Pad Thai was sweet; a little too sweet for my taste. All-in-all, Vieng Thai was a relatively cleanrestaurant with an attentive waitress (literally only one waitress there when I was there) and descent food for a descent price.I rated Vieng Thai a 3/5, as it was solid, not spectacular.
