We just got home from our dinner here and it was fantastic. We were greeted upon entering and taken right away to a nice... banquette table. Every employee we passed said hello and our server was great. He recommended dishes for us and he was spot onfor us. Everything was delicious and I mean EVERYTHING! So good! I love the sashimi and sushi that is dressed by the chef. The fish selection and flavors add were perfect. Plus I discovered a new beer that I like! So happy to have a sophisticatedrestaurant like this in The Heights Read more

Solid service and even better food. The entire dinner was pretty much in line with what I?ve been accustomed to with MF and... that?s more or less what we were hoping for. Sitting at the sushi bar was a fun experience as it gave us more of an appreciationfor the entire process. The biggest highlights of the meal were the Tuna Avocado Ball and Baked Lobster Tempura appetizer. Bothwere very unique and had a nice mix of flavors compared to a lot of typical sushi appetizers. The other dishes we had were allgreat as well, including all of the different nigiri dishes (A5 Wagyu Beef Aburi was the best). Definitely another sushi gem intown and one that I know I?ll go to again. Read more

this place is so pretty and cozy! i like layout of the restaurant, how there is a separate space for the bar and omakase. the... parking wasn't bad at all, prob because we came around 9pm but i think during peak hours you might have to valet. valet is$7. i walk in and instantly liked the vibe. i didn't know this restaurant was sister property with mf sushi! the host wasfriendly and our server Andrew was personable and chill. everything was delicious and they had uni here. sadly the taste wasntwhat i was expecting. i prefer the uni/uni pasta at 5kinokawa. i enjoyed their hot green tea, miso soup, and all the plates weordered. mf sushi is my top 1 and i was lowkey comparing the two but the quality was no different. there are some smalldifferences in taste/visual but nothing too different. the only thing is the vibe, mf sushi is more classic modern and ume ismore cozy warm. i would recommend this place. in fact i will prob give it another try next time! I liked it here! The food was good and the drinks were awesome! If you?re going make sure you don?t sit in the front! The seats... are incredibly uncomfortable and made me want to leave as soon as possible. The food was really pricy tbh, but everything tastedgreat and was really fresh. But the drinks were delicious. And the service was nice. Read more

We had an amazing experience! Service was exceptional and the restaurant is beautiful and immaculate. We enjoyed several... nigiris, super fresh and amazing flavors, love the use of lime zest. Rainbow roll was delicious! Tried 3 different cocktails, all were great, my favorite was the mojito. Finished the meal with salted caramel mochi, so good. We have enjoyed sushi at someof the best CA places and now Ume is my favorite spot! We will definitely go back and bring friends/family. Read more

We came here for the first time. The decorations are so cute. The food were delicious. The drinks were amazing. Lychee Virgin... was very good for non alcohol. Every single dish was great, fresh, decorative, and tasty. After I ate sushi here, I may notwant try some other gross places that I used to eat. We?ll be back. Best service ever. Wonderful chefs. I attached few photosthat I had. Read more

Out of all my sushi experiences, I?d honestly say that this place was average. Don?t get me wrong everything we had was up to... par. Most notably the baked mussels. However, for the price you pay, there?s other spots in Houston that offer better quality.Service was fantastic, our waiter Andrew was kind and attentive. Ambiance was nice and the layout was tastefully done. But if Iwere to keep it short. It?s average sushi in a wealthier part of town. I?ve included some of my dishes, forgot to take pics ofmy Otoro, Baked Mussels, among other stuff. Cheers! Read more

Wow! Wow! We had an amazing experience. A real sushi experience, we enjoyed every piece of it. There were 5 that were my... favorite. The spicy scallops cone, are so rich, freshness in their ingredients. We had 3 different salmon pieces, all of themwere prime wild quality. Melted like the finest butter in your mouth. Signature Salmon, wow. I also marked 2 in the menu, limeinfused... make sure u don't use soy sauce, or a little to truly taste the flavors. One of the best sushi experience.Spicy tunawas delicious.. Hiroshi Hamara, a tru Master. Thank you for the amazing culinary experience. Read more
