Hi Houston! Went to Tiny Boxwoods on Alabama today for a bday. They are counter order and no reservations (which I wish they... were not) but the bday girl showed up an hr early to grab a table for our party. The location is tight but they have gulf cartguys that were super nice shuttling people to and from their sister milk amd cookies location. Service was reasonable but notsuper attentive, a shame bc I think it's more the way the restaurant set up is more so then the staffs fault. My real only beefis the food. The sweet potato fries were good. The paloma great. But the turkey bacon pesto sandwich was gross. I am attachingpictures. No one liked it at the table. The waitress got the manager, as the lady next to me rightly suggested that I saysomething. Manager was nice asked if I wanted new sandwich (I most definitely didn't) so two things. It would have been nice toremove the sandwich from the bill. But bc you prepay it feels like a hassle. And 2nd its probably time to retool that sandwich.I mean this as nicely as possible. It was greasy, wayy to much pesto, super scant in both turkey and bacon. And I thought it wassupposed to have avocado but that was missing if so. Restaurants need patience after covid. But if your asking for up to 22% tipfor counter service. Please focus on quality food. Read more

I love this place!! Food was excellent. I had the shrimp pasta and the cheese pizza. Both were delicious! The sundae dessert... (substitute donut holes with meringue) was too good. They make their own ice cream and it’s awesome. Will definitely be back. Read more

This place is like a magical garden and I loved every moment in this place. It is slightly overpriced for the quality of the... food, and no one was very excited about their cocktails, but it looks like a lot of people come here for brunch, so we may giveit another try. Over all, the food was good, just not jaw-droppingly exceptional. I did love their brussel sprouts, but what youreally come here for is the atmosphere and the cookies. The cookies are the best I've ever had and the ambiance is simplyperfection. Read more

We came here for Saturday brunch. They didn’t allow to reserve table for brunch but we came quite early so they still had... enough tables for a group of 6. There are not lots of parking in front of the restaurant. However, they have different parkinglots quite far from the restaurant and they have golf cart to take you to the restaurant. They have a garden view so I recommendyou to sit outside to enjoy the view. The foods are good. This is a good place to enjoy your weekend. Highly recommended! Read more

My wife’s been dying to try this amazing little place for a few months now and it was absolutely worth the wait. Get there... early as there was a line outside the door at 10:50am waiting for them to open at 11. The menu held choices for everyone fromsalads to sandwiches and even meat and cheese trays. You order at the front and it’s open seating throughout. The service wasvery quick and the food was incredible. The summer salad with grilled chicken was a great size with plenty of roasted pecans andcrumbled blue cheese. The avocado toast with smoked salmon and sun dried tomatoes was excellent and was proportioned just right.Excellent spot for brunch! Read more

We enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch here. We arrived just after they opened at 10 am and the line was already 45-60... minutes long. It was a little hot in the sun but overall, waiting amidst the beautiful garden is not bad at all. The reason theline is long is there is only one register open to take orders - I guess that helps with table flow and food prep. It did nottake long for our food to come out. Our waiter was nice and took a group photo of us from both sides of the table. I know he wassuper busy so the extra little touches are appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was all quite tasty. Afterwards, wemeandered through the garden at Thompson Hanson. All in all, a perfect way Mother’s Day brunch. Read more

Beautiful outdoor garden seating. First timers feel overwhelmed by the ordering/seating process and busy long line. Food is... good, somehow my order “mother’s breakfast” tasted dry. Hard to find parking. Overall average experiences. Read more

What a quaint, serene cafe bistro in the inner loop. Had a lunch date and this place is perfect. It has an amazing green space... view and a full garden nursery that is part of the restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly. With the nice weather, Iopted to eat outside, but the inside has a very nice modern farmhouse decor with open kitchen concept. Food was light anddelicious. Perfect spot to have great conversations and take pictures. ChowChow Time! Read more
