The wait was long and the Pad Thai was disgusting. They have one person taking and distributing orders. I asked for spicy but... was told they put it on the side. What Thai restaurant can?t make the food spicy? To make matters worse I didn?t get the spicysauce on the side. Waste of money. Read more

One of my favorites in the tunnel for Asian food. They have added additional items to the menu, giving you more choices. The... food is more fresh and more flavorful, now. Very friendly service. The prices are very nominal ($7.95 for the 2 sides plate, and$9.95 for the 3 sides plate), and reasonable. I'd recommend this place anytime. Read more

After I heard about this place opening, I had to come check it out. When I lived in Arizona, the west cost version of Kroger is... Fry's Marketplace. Fry's and Kroger are owned by the same people, but it's under a different name out west. The Fry's storesare basically like this, where they are primarily grocers, with extra items in store such as furniture, clothing, etc. I had tocome check it out so I could compare it to what I've been missing since I moved back. Overall, it's a great store. It's stilla Kroger, but with a lot more options. Here are some of the positives that I noticed. Store is well staffed, and they arefriendly. (never under estimate customer service!) Secondly, the store is huge! Not only do they have your typical itemshere, but lots more as well, which I like. A bigger Kosher section, ethnic foods, cheeses, all the goods and more! Plus, tonsof booze booze booze!!! More booze!!!!! They also have a Starbucks inside. YAY! I love getting a cup of coffee, iced tea orwhat not when I come in. Quite refreshing! Bonus points! Also, they have a really nice pizza, sushi and lunch station when youwalk in to the right of produce. I love it! I could totally spend more time (and money) here but since it was early, theseparts of the store were not quite open yet. I plan a return trip to try them out at some point in the future. On the down side,I wish the deli had a better selection of dishes to choose from. It's still a decent selection, but seems to be the same stuffall the time. Very little variety or anything that seems appetizing. This goes for most Kroger's, so it's not just here. Iwill probably return in the future, and feel like this location is fine, but will probably grow over time in regards toselection of items. I'm not saying there isn't a good selection, but maybe they need to figure out some extra selection sincethey have the square footage. Things like (as stated before) items in the deli, more Kosher stuff and ot Read more

Time for Thai is a new eatery in the food court of the downtown tunnels and they were pretty popular for their inexpensive lunch... combos. For $8 and some change, you get your choice of 2 entree items, rice, and an eggroll. And they give you a very generousserving of food, so generous in fact that you may end up taking some home with you. For my combo, I had the Pad Thai, CashewChicken, Egg Fried Rice, and the eggroll. The Cashew Chicken was very good, and the vegetables that it was served with wasfresh tasting. The Pad Thai however was a little dried out and overcooked. It was good, but just dry. Certainly not a dealbreaker, especially since they have other entree items to choose from. I tried the curry that a friend of mine ordered and itwas delicious, so i'll have to get that next time. The only issue I had were the lines. They were long and the bottleneckseemed to be at the register. I'm not sure if they had a new system they were trying to learn, but it was a little slow going, and they only had one person manning two registers while the line kept going. I'd give them 3.5 stars if it were possible, butfor now, and at least until I get a chance to revisit, it'll be 3 stars for now. Read more

This place was fine... imagine a typical cafeteria style Chinese place, but with Thai options. Stand in line, choose rice or... noodles, request 1 or 2 entrees, choose 2 sides. It's probably best to come when you know the items are relatively fresh (duringthe lunch rush). It's nice that they have some thai options (curries, thai tea), but I'd like if they had more thai soups. Ifyou want Thai in downtown Houston, there are better options but maybe not faster options. If you've ever been to Thai Cottage this is the same place in a different format. They have a set number of dishes each day and... you queue up to get them. There is a meal option which includes rice or fried rice as well as one or two entrees and avegetarian crispy roll. It's quite delicious. The only problem I've seen so far with this place is the line going on forever. I know people who have been 3 or 4 times a week since it opened two weeks ago. I love the curries, though I didn't like theChili Basil Chicken as much. However, that's a preference thing, and certainly no reflection on the food as several friendsliked it. Lots of great options to choose from, but get here early. This is in the tunnels, so the hours are limited as well. Read more
