My first time in Houston and at this place. There?s an outside bar attached. I love how the restaurant is set up, but I do wish... it was bigger. My family placed our order using the screen when you walk in. There was so much to choose from, and I got theburger sliders. So good and a little spicy ???? . I?ll be back, so I can try everything. First time trying waffle bus. They have a unique menu and prices are not too bad. Ordered the big cheesy, macdaddy hot chicken... sandwich, hot mess fries and Nutella banana waffle. Everything we had tasted great. This location is clean with plenty ofindoor/outdoor seating. Customer service was a bit off. The cashier seemed like she didn?t want to be there. I was excited to try waffle bus out- waffle with chicken or fruit is my sort of food. I got the chicken waffle and a strawberry... chocolate ganache waffle. It looks really good at first?. And it was good that first bite too. But the second bite and afterwas really lack luster. The chicken waffle was too salty. I really want to like it but this is not for me. The strawberrywaffle was good but nothing special about it. Comparing this to the crepe at sweet paris, I could tell sweet paris is on awhole other level. First time trying waffle bus, the food truck turned brick and mortar. Great location off west Alabama in a less busy part of... Montrose. Cashier who took my order was lackluster, didn?t want to converse about the menu or the experience. Takeout servicewas quick and concise. Nothing really made me think that this type of food was special. If your looking for some good,unhealthy, expensive junk food, this is the spot. Very very good. I got the waffle chicken sandwich with their signature sauce and it was excellent. The portion was generous,... the waffle crispy, it had savory sweet note to it that was on point. Very satisfying. I don?t normally care for fries that areflour dusted before frying to bring out extra crispness, seems kinda fake crispy to me, takes away from the potato flavor, andthe Waffle Bus does this. BUT this is seasoned flour that is really special. It?s spicy and delicious. The spicy ketchup isnice as well. Well done. Read more
