This place is decorated beautifully! The atmosphere is really nice as well. The service was great and the food I had tasted... pretty good. The beers are served in margarita bowls I guess? Which is interesting. The reason for the 4 stars is because thehappy hour menu is soooo little. I even inquired about the cocktail of the month (which was advertised on the menu I was given)only to be told there wasn't one this month. Plenty of parking though. I joined 7 friends for restaurant week at The Rustic. Fantastic place!! Amanda, out server, was perfect and patient, since we... all arrived at separate times. The food was Exceptional!! I had the Tamale appetizer, portobello entree and peach cheesecakecobbler!! My friends inhaled their meals too! I hadn't known that entertainment was included. The guitarist had a wonderfulvoice and no proctor! I was amazed by his abilities! I will definitely be back to try all the other menu items. Read more
We were in the Houston area for a Texans football game on Saturday and stopped in The Rustic for lunch.. everything was... excellent! We started with appetizers (an order of Steakhouse Onion Rings and the Wild Boar Meatballs) and both wereincredible! BEST onion rings I've ever had! Our entrees were the Texas Hot Chicken & Cheese and the Roasted Half Chicken (with aside of wood-grilled broccolini and shells & cheese) .. again .. EXCELLENT! Drinks and a Good Time! The architectural design of this place is very nice. We called ahead and was told we didn't need a... reservation. When we arrived parking was okay but there is valet parking if you choose. There is outside seating as well butunfortunately there was a private party. Our waitress was really nice but busy so it took her a few minutes to get to us butcompletely understandable. For our meal we had Crab Cakes with Shells & Cheese and the Cedar Plank Salmon with Green Beans.Everything was really delicious except the green beans could have used more seasoning. The live music doesn?t start until 9pm sounfortunately we didnt get to experience that part. All in all it was a Good Time. Read more
As a vegetarian, I am pretty impressed with their menu. This is not a vegetarian restaurant but there are a lot of options and... for brunch I was able to sample quite a few of them. The quiche is amazing and cooked to perfection. Another of my favorites wasthe jalapeno spoon bread. I only gave four stars because of the service. Our waitress was not very informative and we spent alot of time reviewing menu options that were not available. Other than that we plan to revisit in the evening time to exploremore of the menu. Entertainment was also pretty good, live country music on Saturday. This restaurant has a very homey, open,Texas feel. Read more
Late post... but this was an awesome experience. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff... We ate, drank, and sat there for hours... talking. It was in December, so it was cold, but they did close the large patio doors after a while. Pretty much everything wasdelicious, and I would definitely go back again. Read more
Okay, I've been here multiple times and the food is always great BUT I've never had their brunch til now. YOU MUST TRY! It was a... set price per persona and served family style. We were able to order refills of what we needed. The honey chicken was amazingand so was the French toast. Definitely returning for brunch. The sun is a bummer as it was peaking through the roof and a fanso it was like a strobe light in my face. Then we moved our own table out the way.
