Awesome experience! We got two tacos and a sleezy chicken bowl for $25.00! The sleezy chicken bowl was very delicious and... filling for the price! I was not disappointed by the portions! The bowl contained Macaroni, coleslaw, and a tangy sauce, toppedwith their crispy chicken! The chicken was very tender and juicy as well. The Macaroni was cheesy, creamy, and gooey. The tacoswere very similar ingredients but laid out in a flour tortilla, with Macaroni on the side. Come here with an empty stomachbecause you will be left feeling full! Also has various levels of spiciness and other options such as ribs, fries, waffles thatwe didn't get to try yet. Ambience is very relaxing and rustic with a lot of seating and an in house bar. Found this place based on reviews and it was amazing! You order you food upfront and they bring it to you. The young lady who... took out order was great and very patient with me since it was my first time there, she went over the menu with me and helped mepick some stuff out. The margarita was delicious and strong which was great, they have plenty of seating inside and out and abar. The food came out quick and it was DELISH. The portions were super big and everything was juicy, fresh and full of flavor.I am definitely coming back and telling everyone about this spot! Read more
First time here! Food was really good. Short wait to get order. I tried their margarita and it was strong, sweet and tangy just... the way I like them. Ribs were super soft and really good BBQ sauce on top. Sweet potatoes were good, thin slice savory andcrisp at the same time. The chicken and waffles was really good as well. Read more
Let's start with the sweet potato waffle fries... They were so good. The chicken flavor with the fries were mild. The chicken... with waffles and dragon fries was Medium. The chicken with Ribs were original. The dragon fries look plain but they got a littlenice spicy kick to them. The chickens tenders were big and juicy. Love the dipping sauce (Shack Sauce). The chicken was good butI just wanted a little more flavor. Overall good food and I would go back. Read more
This place is AWESOME! Nice atmosphere, surroundings & outdoor seating as well. From the time we walked in we were kindly... greeted by staff. The young lady at the register was very polite I told her it was my first time there so she was very patientwith me as she explained everything I had questions about. All 3 ladies who oversaw the dinning area were very helpful and cameover to make sure everything was going well. One lady even let us know she would put a highchair at our table for our newbornwhen we were ready. The food was really good and you could tell freshly made to order. I had the chicken & Belgian waffles withcoleslaw very good choice. My husband had the chicken tacos with dragon fries (spicy) also another good choice. After eating myhusband met with the manager Mike Wynn (very polite) to let him know everything was awesome. Mike let us know about morelocations that will be opening in the near future. One being Copperfield which is much closer to us, but the drive from Cypressto the Heights location was absolutely worth it. As we left everyone made sure they said bye and thanked us for coming in. Onelady even said "bye family ????". This was definitely a wonderful experience not over crowded, friendly atmosphere, anddelicious food. We will definitely come back to this location. A really cool atmosphere and truly delicious chicken! I had the chicken sandwich with the dragon fries. At first they don't seem... like much, but the seasoning brings on a slow heat that's addicting. My friend had the tenders which also come with a slice ofbread. Read more
I have tried all the ?must have? hot chicken places. Never was impressed. Thought it was overrated, oily, hot without flavor.... The Cookshack was a huge exception. The store is clean. The staff is friendly. They are fast too. My food was brought out injust a few minutes after sitting down. The menu is mostly tenders and ribs. With sandwiches, wraps and salads made with them. Iordered the tenders and rib combo. Three huge tenders and a half rack of ribs. You can choose the heat level of the ribs andtenders. I went with the Texas Heat. I have a good heat tolerance. These made my nose run. Great part is they had flavor. Goodflavor. I picked Mac-n-cheese for the side. That was awesome. Lemonade to drink. I will definitely be back here. Read more
We tried the chicken and waffles. Chicken is moist and tasty. Waffles we fluffy with cinnamon butter. Fries were good that... the kids had but I always go for the dinner salad. Bar has beer and wells. We did not try the ribs on this stop but will beback in the future Read more
