Loved the atmosphere at Taste of Texas! Great for any special occasion, and the staff is professional and friendly. The steaks... here are some of the best I've ever had - definitely make reservations, because the wait could be up to 2 hours otherwise. Youget to choose your own steak, and mine (the t-bone) was cooked perfectly. The salad bar is included with any steak order, andit's got a great fresh and varied selection. This place is simply a steak lover's dream. We came here for the first time last week and had a fantastic experience! Food: 5/5... all the steak are high quality and you're able to choose your own steak for them to grill. We got the Tomahawk and porterhousesteaks to share between 3 ppl, meat was very tender and flavor was rich. Size of the steaks were definitely Texas sized! Theyeven have a salad bar with really good selections of veggies. We got the snickers pie for dessert, it was freaking amazing. Youjust can't go wrong with this place. Service: 5/5 our server was great and attentive throughout the night even though the placewas packed. I could tell all the servers are experienced and know what they're doing! Ambiance: 5/5 lots of Texas style decorand there's lots of history/interesting facts strewn about on the walls. We sat in a room full of vintage wine corks they put inglass displays. My Wife and I met our friends to celebrate the ladies' retirement on a Thursday evening. The Texas ambience and large room feel... is impressive. We were immediately seated and shortly greeted by our waitress, Allison. After ordering our food, we had a tripto the salad bar, which had a great selection of fresh lettuce and many accessories. About midway through our salad, thewaitress was back and in just the right amount of time our dinner was on the table. We all enjoyed our food, but this was theBest NY Strip steak I've had in a long time, and We were visited by the manager. O and the desert tray is important not to passup. They did a great job with the salad bar, the food, the wait staff and the Texas atmosphere and look of the restaurant. Weare from Houston and and I know we will be back soon. Don't miss this place! This was my first time going to Taste Of Texas since my friend wanted to take me. We had Robby for our waiter and he was... amazing! He made me feel comfortable and right at home. The food was great and the bread was even better! I got to pick out mycut of steak and took a ton of photos of the decorations around the restaurant. Everyone was dressed up nice and the atmospherewas very elegant and friendly. Very clean, respectable, and organized restaurant all around. I just wish I had room for desertafter my very filling steak. Next time I’ll have to eat less bread from the salad bar to have room to try their desertmenu???? Read more

This restaurant is Amazing!! Tina our waitress was professional yet fun. The food was melt in your mouth DELICIOUS. The decor... was eye drawing & educational. Taste of Texas is now my new favorite restaurant in all of Houston area!!
