Very old building..majority of people are 65 plus in age. Most people drink alcohol. They pick and choose regarding seating. ... For example they will say these 5 tables are reserved. My experience is split between service, music and food. The food: it’s all amazing. We had around 6 appetizers, a few drinks... and hookah. We didn’t have a reservation, and were immediately seated to the side of the show. No issues, and we all were ableto watch the band and belly dancer. Music: the place makes it very fun and a lot of people were dancing and having a blast. Fromwhere we were sitting, the music didn’t seem loud. The service: our server was very courteous, and she tried to give as muchadvise trying new things and flavors for hookah. There was a time during the night that the place was super busy, and refills oncharcoal and even for a bottle of water took some time. At the end, we had a bill of $400+. !ATTENTION EVERYONE!! Please be careful with this place. This place rips you off by ordering some shawarma and kababs. The menu... says $25 for mixed grill, but they will charge you $80 for some pieces of meat and salad and some hummus. The service is fine,live music is fine, but they will surprise you with $400 bill at the end!!!!! They charge you $91 for tip??? What? This place isa total scam!! This is my second time at Soltan Restaurant. My first time was during Ramadan for Iftar and the experience was not very good as... the food was horrible. I did not write any comments because it was my first time. We attended the Iraqi night last night and theexperience was awful due to the following: 1. You can not use the self-parking behind the restaurant and you are forced to usevalet. The problem is not the valet fee but I don’t trust anyone driving my car. Someone potentially could commit an offenseusing your car while you are enjoy the music (who will be responsible for that?). 2. 25$ cover charge. This is paid because ofthe live music that was supposed to start at 08:30 pm but they started at 10:30 pm. You don’t even get a complimentary drinkwith the 25$. 3. The food was good but overpriced. 4. 18% tips are automatically added to your bill. So you don’t the choiceto decide how much tip you want to give. 5. Please check your bill before you pay, they added extra 7$. So when I picked it up,they remove the extra 7$ (additional tea pot) 6. Valet parking is 10$ but you will end up paying 11$, why I don’t know. 7. Theplace is full of smoke, we had to leave early because we could not breathe. Men: Be sure to wear pants to this establishment. Shorts not allowed! Let me start off by saying we went here for some nightly... entertainment. The hookah was good, kunufeh delicious and the live music was absolutely great! My issues are the valet which arepretty much required to park within the vicinity of the building (should be optional) Other issue was with the wine we orderedwhich you could tell was turned and not fresh. Our waitress was trying her best but you could tell the place is short staffed.Gratuity is included and amount is not optional (18%). First time at Soltan, we attended their Mother’s Day and Eid lunch celebration. The flyer cited the event is going to be from... 12 to 5, so we were there at 1:00 pm. However, the food haven’t served until 3:30 pm. It was buffet style. The food was verydelicious. I loved the mansaf. Our lady waiter was very friendly and welcoming. She took good care of us. There was DJ, craftfor the kids, hennah, face painting and moonwalk. My kids enjoyed their time so much, and they were dancing and singing. I wouldlove to visit for another entertainment program or just for lunch. Read more
