Came here last night for date night and ended up leaving so angry. The service was absolutely despicable. We started by ordering... some drinks at the bar and the bartenders were arguing with each other in front of the customers. We got seated in the back andit was probably 20 minutes before a server even came to take our order. We waited about 45 minutes just for some samosas,shrimp, and meatballs. While we were waiting another server came and offered us more drinks. We said no, so she immediatelyasked if she could close our tab. I thought that was rude I felt like she was just trying to get rid of us. At some point I didgo to the restroom and they don’t even have soap in their pumps which is concerning because I saw quite a few of the staff gointo those exact restrooms… Finally the food came and the samosas and shrimp were fine (overpriced for the taste and portionsin my opinion) but the meatballs were the worst food I’ve ever tasted at a restaurant. The meatballs tasted like there waszero seasoning or herbs, just ground chicken. And even worse, the texture Was like they had been boiled. The sauce tasted liketomatoes, vinegar, and water. It had a metallicy flavor to it, too. We finished our food and kept waiting and waiting that thewaiter would come give us our check and we could pay and carry on with our night but we ended up waiting probably another 45minutes. By this point we were so upset we went to go find her ourselves. Another server was super helpful and was able to giveus our check. Finally our actual server came and went to get our card from the bar for us. While we were waiting for her to comeback, who I assume is the manager came to ask if we were done with the table and he noticed the meatballs on the table so heasked if we wanted them to go so told him how terrible they were. If you like good service, then this is not the place for you. The level of service provided does not match the price that you... are paying for food/drinks. If I’m going to pay $17 for a cocktail or $25 for a pizza, I do not want to be ignored during myfirst experience here. My girlfriend and I did not receive any check ups until we were ready to pay. We were greeted by oneserver for drinks/food, but after that she disappeared and never checked up on us. We went a full 1 hour of no service/2 minbite check after our apps and entree. We did not know who our server was. Funny enough, the tables around us received a lot ofservice because they complained about the long wait while the server had their back turned to us. We understand kitchen can getbusy and didn’t complain when French fries took 30 mins to come out. It wasn’t until after we done with our meal and I wasobviously looking around for help that we were receiving some attention from a different server/hostess. She was not veryfriendly and sounded very upset when I brought up being charged regular prices vs happy hour. I think the cherry on top wastheir suggested tip on the bottom of the receipt. 20% - 35%. I’ve worked the fine dining industry for awhile now. If I’mbeing charged high prices, I expect a higher level of service than what most restaurants provide. Great atmosphere for a wine, cheese , pizza. Also have great outdoor seating that is perfect when the weather is nice.
Portion size of the lollipop chicken and waffles is an A. You'll eat all of your food and smile. Waffles are a solid B+. Wheat... with blueberries and strawberries. I met some dear friends here for dinner. Food was amazing along with my beverage. Only issue I had was a little confusing that... we did not know exactly who our waitress was and did not visit our table often. We had to go inside and to request condiments. This place is so amazing. The vibes are so cool. Couches to sit on while you eat delicious globally inspired apps and unique... cocktails. The wine selection is choice. All the servers are top notch - very quality service. I never feel not taken care ofhere. They even have valet! Yet at the same time, don't mistake this being some sort of bougie upscale place inaccessible to youon a lazy day - it is very casual and comfy. Lots of board games too. Tonno e Cipolla pizza is really good. Haven’t tried pizza with tuna before and it was definitely pleasing and will want to try... again. Margherita pizza was half off for ladies on Wednesday night so it was $7 and was pretty good but not so special. EspressoMartini was a bit too strong for me and a bit pricey ($18). I don’t think I’ll order the espresso martini again because itwas just too expensive compared to other espresso martinis. Tandoori Scallops were pretty delicious as well. It was like anAsian, Italian fusion food and was surprisingly good as well. Vibe of the restaurant is interesting… not my style of vibe butit was okay. I’d give a detail rating of 4.2 for this place.
