Reviews for Shabang Crawfish & Mi Quang in Houston, TX
The food was okay barely edible. Shrimp was a bit fishy and bland. Fried rice bland too. The staff member at the front didn't... speak English well it made it difficult to place the order. Payment was double charged too due to her not knowing how tocheckout. Probably will not return. Read more
Decent enough Vietnamese restaurant. Different menu than what I expected - no pho, limited noodle dishes, focus on boiled... seafood. Clean inside, friendly service Read more
we actually loved this place to this day. They charge you $50 in tips. on your ticket and if you don't give it to them they... wait for you outside to fight with you for tips and it's not even the employees it's the owner who does that clowning and it'sreally embarrassing that they have this attitude.. so never again Read more
TRIED THE SHRIMP AND PORK MI QUANG AND LET ME TELL U HOW GOOD IT WAS !! THE NOODLES WERE COOKED TO PERFECTION AND THE BROTH WAS... AMAZING! I ALSO LOVED THE SESAME BREAD CHIP THAT COMES ALONG WITH THE TOPPINGS ???? Read more
Waited about 15 minutes before my order was taken. I asked for a pound of crawfish and they said the minimum order is two... pounds. It's only 50 cents cheaper than the average price per pound and I only wanted to try the crawfish not have a meal. So Iordered 6 hot butter buffalo wings and a beer instead. I got a Modelo, which was bottled and I prefer canned but whatever, withthe $1 michelada addition. The Miche mix was just Louisiana style hot sauce with table salt around the glass nothing else. Iwaited about 30 more minutes, while other parties who were sat after me were brought multiple big bags of crawfish, before Iheard the waiter remind the cook of my order. When the wings came out they were about half sauced and laughably tiny. Theytasted very mild and I couldn't really tell the heat nor the buttery taste from any other appetizer wings. My tab was $11 so Idid not lose much and I was with friends, who enjoyed their Vietnamese dishes but were also hoping for more gratuitous portions.I wouldn't recommend this place but it wasn't exactly bad just terribly underwhelming. Finally....A great place for some real traditional and delicious Mi Quang! There aren’t many places that serve this dish so it... was a real treat at Shabang. My family and I went to Shabang for their grand opening on Saturday January 4th. Walking in, theatmosphere was laid back and comfortable, very inviting. The murals with the ocean scenery was very unique and beautiful. Thestaff and servers were all very friendly and helpful. They just opened so yes, service isn’t perfect but they’re workinghard to fix the kinks. Service was fast though. Restrooms were nice and clean. My husband ordered the Com Chien Bo Luc Lac andseafood gumbo. He loved it! Great portions of delicious foods. I ordered the Mi Quang Tom Thit and fried catfish platter to go.The Mi Quang was my favorite! We also tried the Nuoc Mat, their special refresher drink and Green Milk tea. They were so good!!I love my milk tea from Gongcha in Bellaire, but Shabang is a great alternative that’s a closer drive. Highly recommend socome out and support the new local restaurant! :) Read more
