Dishonest restaurant. I was in Houston for a business trip three weeks ago and that's when I went to this place. My credit card... was charged twice on this day. They swiped my credit card with one card machine but somehow it showed it didn't go through. Thenthey tried it with another card machine and said it did go through. And yeah.. this is how I was charged twice, and this is nota problem. This is just a mistake. I saw this from statement today and called them about this. They said I have to be there andprove I was charged twice, and then they will give in cash even though they know I'm in California now. So I have to call mycredit card company to dispute this transaction. The point is, it's very hard for a store not to know about this surplus at theend of the day because every store must be matching their sales to sum of all credit card transactions and cash in/out each dayat close. This way, they know if cash is short or surplus, etc. So they must have known that they had a surplus but didn'tbother to investigate where it is coming from - remember, surplus is always coming from customers. Great food! My friend and I ordered from the fried basket menu - I got the catfish and my friend got the oysters. Both came with... seasoned french fries. We also got the Boom Boom Shrimp (I may be misremembering the name, but it's something oike that)appetizer, which was spectacularly good. Everything tasted great, the service was excellent, the decor and atmosphere is fun.They serve the boiled seafood in big plastic bags because it is - as advertised - quite juicy. I'm trying some boiled crab nexttime, which will be very soon. Definitely recommended! Read more
Waited 45 mins and still never got asked our order. Waitress was more interested in serving her friend than she was a table of... 5. Also it's very pricey for being served with paper plates. It was my sisters birthday and I was so embarrassed with theservice. We walked out when when the waitress simply did not come back. Just lost a loyal customer. Smh Read more
Best part is that the place is clean and the hostess seems friendly. I bought 1.5 pounds of crawfish, it seemed to weigh much... less than any other spot I’ve ordered from. Gratuity was automatically applied to my service at 11% eventhough i was going totip anyway for the terrible servicing. I honestly thought the waiter was creepy because he stood by our table and literallydidn’t say ANYTHING. Not even a introduction. You couldn’t even tell he was the waiter based on his attire. Very enjoyable. Their food was very good! So i got the daily special which was a 1/2 lb of snow crab, 1/2 lb of shrimp, and 1/2... lb of mussels with their ‘juicy blend” and medium spice. Came with 1 corn and 2 potatoes. And mozzarella stocks as anappetizer. This was a good size lunch that left me and my GF very satisfied. The juicy blend was a great mix of sauces and allthe seafood was cooked to perfection, which is harder to find than you think; as many restaurants overcook seafood. I woulddefinitely return. Lunch specials are decent price but the food is just okay! The catfish was a little salty and taste like chicken tender... breading! Very soft and flaky just a little salty. Shrimp didn’t have much of a taste and were on the lighter side whichindicates fresh grease so that’s a plus! Based on price, I would eat here again! Read more
Food was good but honestly the service messed the vibe up. As soon as we sat down the waiter David was rude and nonchalant. When... we asked for additional items he threw his hands up and sighed real loud. The manager didn’t seem like she cared when it wasbrought to her attention. He continued to be our waiter after the complaint and was still rude up until the end. The was secondtime coming to this location and both time the service was unacceptable. I won’t be back after this. I only gave 2 starsbecause the food was still good but when there’s a hostile environment it takes away. Read more
