I've eaten here twice now, and I was able to easily reserve a table of 17 for a party. Staff was very friendly, food was... extremely good both times, the place is bright and clean. Prices are very affordable, I loved their risotto. Read more

My husband and I were wanting a nice Italian dinner date in the Houston area while we were in town. We chose Ray's based on the... good reviews and their menu on their website. However, when we arrived, we felt as though we had been played... Ray's is aconflicted restaurant - wanting to be fancy/formal with a formal looking website, menu, and dishes (and high prices to match). But you aren't getting the nice, sit-down service you would expect that would come with all that. Instead you walk into whatlooks like a carry-out pizza place with a few tables for those who want to eat there. You get your own drinks and refills and donot get waited on. The side salads were a joke. My husband's ceasar salad had crushed parmesan cheese on it (the kind you getout of the shaker at a pizza place). My garden side salad had a very large pit in one of the olives, and the entire thing wasdrenched in the house balsamic dressing that was far too sour that I couldn't even finish the small portion that was given (andI love balsamic dressings). The entrees were the only good thing about this place. We both got pasta dishes that tasted amazingand had fresh ingredients. It was just hard to enjoy eating while in that atmosphere and knowing we paid over $60 on meals thatwe weren't being waited on for. Read more

I VERY rarely write 1 star reviews. I was going to give it 3 stars and after my second visit, I decided on 1. I had tried the... pizza and calzone on my previous visit and they were decent. Second visit I wanted to try the pasta. I ordered Pasta Primaverawhich comes with marinara in the pasta with vegetables and a side salad. When I asked for Italian dressing I was a bit scoffedat, like that?s something I couldn?t order. I was then told that ?We make all of our dressings in house?. Either I?m unawarethat Italian dressing cannot be made in house or it is not found in Italian restaurants (although Ranch was an option). Themarinara in the pasta dish was overwhelmed with water from either the pasta, vegetables, or both. I will absolutely give it atry again at some point and update my experience. Read more

So delicious! Probably my new favorite place, I can't believe I hadn't been there before. I had the Pasta Primavera with Spicy... Arrabiata sauce and added Chicken; my husband got the Spaghetti Carbonara. Also, the cheesy bread was to die for, as was theirAlfredo sauce!! Had Cannolis for dessert, it was all just super great. Food was good and the prices reasonable. Service was really good but not sure if it was due to the time. Worth a stop if you are... craving Italian for lunch. Read more
