Not what I expected in Houston! Exquisite food! We went as a family of five with children, and the staff was super friendly,... attentive, and informative. Our waiter Esteban is a jewel! The food is Traditional Caribbean, and Punta Cana refined it into acuisine. I had the Pernir as my protein which is slow roasted Pork Shoulder and it?s also known as Pulled Pork or Carnitas inother parts. It was one of the best full-flavored dishes that I?ve ever tasted. The side dishes were all so cute and tasty. Therestaurant appears named after the town of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and if so, brings to Houston one of the mostbeautiful beach cultures in Santo Domingo. Humble restaurant, exquisite food, and perfect service. Read more

We went for lunch after church on Sunday and it was fantastic! We got the fried chicken (either Puerto Rico or Dominican spice,... I can't remember) for an appetizer. It was good, but would probably choose something else next time. My wife got the Oxtailswith beans and rice for her main dish and she really enjoyed it. The beans were great also, unique flavor. I had the Pernilwhich is shredded pork shoulder. Comes with a little cup of sauce on the side. Not sure what's in it but it complemented thepork well. It also come with a small shredded purple cabbage salad and dressing on the side. Very good. I had the Mofongoinstead of beans and rice. From Wikipedia: Mofongo is a Puerto Rican dish with plantains as its main ingredient. Plantains arepicked green, cut into pieces and typically fried but can be boiled or roasted, then mashed with salt, garlic, broth, and oliveoil in a wooden pilón. All three of the the staff members we dealt with were great also. We will definitely be back! Read more

This was my first time trying Dominican food and I was very impressed on how flavorful the food was at Punta Cana. The place was... busy throughout our lunch which I think it speaks good of a restaurant. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The Cevichewas so refreshing and the chicharrón was crunchy and tasty. Definitely will be stopping by again when in the neighborhood. Also, they have plenty of parking which is something I?m always looking for. Read more

Not WORTH A PENNY! I ordered through uber eats and the food was horrid. The portions were like for toddlers. I've put pictures... of what I got: the Moro was hard and dry its like they mixed fresh rice with old rice. the white rice was crunchy. the chickenwhich I got grilled chicken breast was so small I don't understand why this meal is $15. Then the pepper steak was disgustingshredded into small pieces and swimming in stew. I wanted a taste for back home and this just wasn't it. Read more
