service from Jennifer and excellent wine suggestion. Food was excellent. We ordered calamari, blue point oysters, bacon wrapped... cedar plank shrimp. My wife enjoyed the surf and turf pasta and I had the steak and lobster tail. Everything was perfect. Wewere seated right away and sat upstairs as requested. Upstairs is quieter than downstairs due to the bar area being down. Abottle of wine , appetizers, and two entrees were around 375 which is moderate on my opinion. Read more
We decided to come in this location due to wanting to be close to another event. It did not dissapoint. Our waiter, Austin made... us feel welcomed and comfortable. Visited for the first time with my toddler daughter. Everything was great, especially our server JT, he made great... recommendations. I went in just to get the Friday Lunch Pork Chop, but I guess I went a little bit overboard. The service was very quick and... efficient. He seemed to be the only one upstairs in the main dining room. I typically always have to get the Wedge Salad or TheLobster Bisque but today I got both. I wasn't disappointed in either. The Friday Lunch Pork Chop was really good as usual Iadded the Creamed Spinach. I finally ended my meal with The Chocolate Crunch, it was very Chocolaty and Crunchy. I made myreservation in Open Table to get points and requested the Main Dining Room. The location is perfect. The restaurant is gorgeous. The staff and management, subpar at best. This is actually my third... horrible experience in a row. I love the food and location so I kept giving it another chance just thinking well maybe thewaiter wasn’t having a great night. Tonight we were seated right away! Drinks and bread came about 20 minutes in. Dinner;after an hour more. Our order? A kids pasta with grilled chicken and a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The salad was great barthe shrimp. Tasted like the chef slid it off of someone’s plate that was sent back during lunch. I didn’t eat the shrimp.After waiting over an hour I did finish the salad. I had hoped to order desert but given the rudeness and time challenges wewill just head to dessert gallery instead. Overall, I had a great birthday night (Thursday, December 30, 2021). The food was great, but two of my guests (out of 16 guests)... had their orders mixed up and they ended up eating after everyone else. Our server, Madeline was great; I think she could’veused a little extra assistance, as some items came out a little slower. However, I think she did credit me for the mixup.Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back (with a smaller crew) on one of my quarterly visits to Houston. Fantastic in every aspect. Our waitress was friendly & super helpful! I had the pork chop. It is massive so if you're like me,... finishing it there was impossible but also awesome knowing I could have that delicious taste again later. The mashed potatoeswere light & tasted so good!
