Nice atomosphere, we had issac as our server and he was attentive. He asked to take a photo for us because we were celebrating... our anniversary. This small thing was above and beyond. We usually have to ask the server to take a photo for us but he actuallyoffered! They also made us feel special by providing us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary and it wasbasically any of the dessert items on their menu. The steaks were pretty tasty and the side of mash potatoes were enormous! Itwas like a mountain we had to take the rest to go. Make sure you bring cash for valet parking it costed $10. Read more
Great steakhouse with top notch service. Well prepared food that you’d normally expect from a steakhouse with great service... from the waitstaff and all other supporting staff. There are multiple different sized rooms with slightly different diningambiance or to accommodate larger sized parties. We came here for HRW. The turtle gumbo soup was good but didn’t wow me. The filet mignon, mashed potatoes and green beans... however were amazing! The filet was so tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were garlicky and perfectly seasoned. The greenbeans were perfectly tender and flavorful. The cheesecake was large and delicious as well. The service was impeccable. 24oz ribeye on the bone was cooked nicely but a bit too much salt for my liking. Large portions and great service. Entree of... scallops wrapped in bacon probably my fav. Pecan pie and ice cream for dessert topped off an overly indulgent evening. Read more
Excellent service and food! Our waitress Patricia knew the menu very well and had great recommendations. We tried the... porterhouse and rib eye steaks, and they were grilled to perfection. Since we were celebrating my birthday, we also got a freedesert which was very tasty. I would highly recommend this place! Read more
I am giving Pappas Steakhouse a five mainly for service. You certainly my feel like they are taking care of you at this... restaurant. The steak is pretty good too. Mine went down like butter. Add a few nice cocktails and this can make for a verynice meal. Read more
Second time going, but tried out the downtown location this time, because I was not impressed with the other location off... Westheimer. Loved the ambiance of the downtown location. The appetizers I had were good, Crab Cakes and Lobster deviled Eggs, sogreat and Cesar Salad was good, but not really impressed with my salmon entree it was very bland and the steak was just okagain. Drinks were very good. Customer service was amazing! If I go back it will be only to sit at the bar and have drinks andAppetizers. They let me down on the entrees once again. The ambiance is better than the food. My steak was fine, it came with bone marrow. The problem was the bone wasn’t cut long... ways and the tiny spoon I was given to dig out the marrow was still too big to fit and dig anything out. I ended up taking ithome to my dog. Again, great ambiance, but the food and service felt “chain-restraunty” which isn’t what I want when I’mpaying premium. Read more
