The barbecue here is really really good for being more of a ?chain.? Their brisket has an excellent smoke ring and char, giving... it a really good flavor and texture in the outside. The smoked sausage is also really nice with a good snap with thecasing. Their bbq sauces are also excellent, coming in regular, hot, and mustard flavors. The Mac and cheese is good, but alittle too watery for my liking. The yams are amazing. Definitely get this side when you come here! The main thing I didn?tlike was the beef rib. It was incredibly tough, dry, and barely had any meat. I would not recommend this at all. Overall reallygood BBQ if you just don?t get beef ribs. Read more
It has been more than 10 years since I was in Houston and coming back to the area reminded me of good food. This place was on my... list. Although there are lots of locations around the city I intentionally went to this location and was not disappointed. Theservice was great, the food fresh and everything was amazing. Brisket potato is a massive 8 to 10 inches full of toppings covered in BBQ. Three diffrent sauces (sweet, expresso, and tangy... mustard) to top your already seasoned to perfection food. The ribs were tender and had a great smoke ring. Sides are a goodportion and complement the entrée. The customers were coming in placing to go orders constantly, and according to their signthey have been doing this since 67. Don't change a thing. Friendly staff and a super clean atmosphere.
