I give this one a solid 4! The food was absolutely delicious! We ate with moderate group that ordered a range of options.... Everyone was very pleased with the taste of their dish. We opted for lunch portions, and I'll say they were just right! I'veeaten here a couple of times now and each time the food has been really spectacular! I'm not saying the service was bad, but Iwould say it could use some improvement. I may just be a bit impatient too though. This is the only thing keeping from a 5IMO. I can appreciate a restaurant and staff who provide excellent service even when it's 1 hr before closing. We never felt rushed... and they all worked together. It was also refreshing to see the hostesses wiping down their area as well as the doors. ???? Dreawas our server and she did very well managing her tables, especially after having a large party seated 30 mins before closing. She made sure to check on us in between and she remained cool and calm. Well done Drea, Kudos to you! ???????????????????????? Randi was even kind enough to let us get a close up of the GIGANTIC lobster in the tank!!! This was a great addition to mybirthday celebration! ???????????????????????????? Got the giant shrimp and grits. It’s not as good as it used to be. Shrimp was flavorful but hard. Spinach was too salty. Grits... were great as always but the bottom of the plate wasn’t covered with them. The plate is a large portion but not worth $35.This is probably the last time I’ll go. I’ll be better off making it myself. Update/Edit 8/1/22: I went one more time togive it another chance and it was worse with a hair in my food. Definitely won’t be back again. Read more
What can I say about Pappadeaux Seafood? It was a wonderful dinner experience. They have mastered dinner! I had the Mardi Gras,... a Cajun pasta in a cheesy cream tomatoe sauce with shrimp, andouille sausage and crawfish... A+!!!! We also had the Filet steak, might be the best steak we've ever had!!! It came with a massive loaded backed potatoe. The Seafood Sampler- lots of friedseafood. And a meal with Shimp, Scallops and Jumbo Lump Crab Pappardelle Pasta... so good! Service was perfect, nocomplaints. The place was clean, no wait for refills on drinks and the food was quick, hot and fresh. Highly recommend! Read more
Totally love Pappadeaux for their seafood!! This is the place to be on a Saturday night so make a reservation for sure! ... Originally went to the Memorial location and it was an hour + wait time. So drove to Westheimer & it wasn’t as bad! Love thecomplimentary bread! My son could live on that alone! So crispy and the butter is given in generous portions as well. They haveawesome oysters & fried shrimp. I got the medium portion of shrimp and it was a lot! You definitely get your moneysworth! The baked potato was huge!!! The service was great! Read more
All I can say is: Can't wait to come back! Two of us dined here on a Sat afternoon. My first visit at this Houston location, but... I've been to one in Phoenix & Dallas. Ample parking, nice atmosphere and menu prices are reasonable. Our server, Mr. Michael L.was AMAZING! He was cheerful & courteous as he helped with menu suggestions. He got every detail of our order accurate and Michael's calm demeanor and attention to detail made the already delicious meal even better!!! So impressed with his servicethat I went thru the trouble of calling the restaurant so they would know I am referencing him in this review! Now let's talkabout the food. Y'all gotta hit this place up soon! Our appetizer - the shrimp & crawfish fondeaux woke up every one of mytastebubs - simply delicious! My tall glass of Strawberry Mangeaux Tango frozen margarita was loaded with flavor enough tosatisfy my drink appetite! Also loved the catfish with red beans and rice! Try the seafood platter, it's so good, especially thefried osters! The baked potato is tasty & huge (as you can see in my pics). Grits are good (seasoned with sausage, corn &butter). The shrimp gumbo is amazing! This is my favorite seafood place to eat, no doubt about it. Sooooo good. Also, the chicken fingers... with red beens and rice is also amazing! It’s a little spicy but perfect. They are known for their Swamp Things, it’s afrozen drink that has a combination of liquors that are so great together. This is a must try when you go eat there.
