First and last time, this is not cooked, so called pepper steak and the manager told me that the meat is seared and boiled, well... if that's the case why is it raw in the inside? The cake horrible, either it was over baked or days old for it to be dry andcrumbled. I was soooo disappointed when I cut into this food. The manager also said "it's an animal it's going to be like that,never know what color you'll get". Really lady!!! I went to Mikki's on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Hamburger steak dinner. The temperature of my food was hot but my... Hamburger steak was very pink in the inside. Oh. My. Gosh! My mom & I was talking about how we haven’t had GOOOOD soul food in a long time & then Mikki’s popped in our... head. I always went to the Greens rd location before it closed but was glad when I saw this location pop up! The restaurant isbeautiful, clean & has lots of seating space. The parking is a little tricky, but you’ll find a parking space somewhere! Theemployees are amazing, very attentive & very efficient. The line wasn’t too long when I went but it goes fast! The food isabsolutely AMAZING! We ordered 5 plates in total & every single item we had was packed with flavor & cooked to perfection. Letme just say though. I could not stop talking about the Apricot chicken! It was soooooo good! I need that sauce bottled up so Ican eat it everyday! ???? Hi Guys, Okay ... soooo this place was suggested to me. When I arrived I was SUPERRR skeptical because of the location,... signage, traffic in the parking lot... I was just about to cut my car back on and leave. I was on my way out of there... As Isat in my car debating the car next to me was coming back from the restaurant talking about how good the food was. The olderlady spoke so highly of the food stating she had to get a plate to-go. I was like ohh no, Im going in there and trying this foodnow! Going in the line was wrapped around the poles back to the 2nd set of doors. Once I was able to go in I was still a littleiffy about trying this place but I must say... Mikki's was ran like a well oiled army boot camp!!! Very neat, clean, organized,and the fast paced. The staff was very open and welcoming. The first lady I came to was so friendly and explained how the plateoptions worked. The food was indeed awesome and worth every penny. We tried the Salisbury steak, dressing, yams, mash potatoeswith gravy, Mac and cheese, smothered chicken, meatloaf, oxtails, green beans, cornbread, and desserts. Hands down the oxtailswas GREAT! Very good. It was my first time coming here we went around 12:30 on a Wednesday so we could beat the crowd (good choice) lots to... choose from and plenty of staff on the line to get you taken care of quickly. My favorite part was the candied yams. They alsoserved Koolaid with free refills if you dine in very happy about that ????. Atmosphere was very comfortable, nice music playinggood size tables for any size crowd I was even able to park the baby stroller alongside the table without worrying about beingin the way. I like to observe cleanliness i noticed all the staff had gloves on and face mask, the floors were clean, thekitchen area from what I could see, tables and chairs all clean. The young lady who maintained the dinning area took pride inmaking sure all the tables were clean she even wiped down the salt & peper shakers and napkin holder. I will definitely be backhere. Food was delicious. You can tell everything was homemade. The customer service is amazing. The servers are sweethearts! They get... you through the line fairly quickly. Everyone is wearing a mask which is appreciated. The price is great for the portions you'regetting! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Good music plays while you enjoy good food. I Purchased the Oxtail Plate for $24.95 and I don’t have a Problem with the Price because I understand Oxtails are High but... when it comes to my portions I only expect what I pay for! When the Girl put my Sides in my Plate she put Two Small Pieces ofYam in my Plate and flooded it with Juice and I pulled the Yams out so you can see it in the Picture and the Cabbage has a bigGreen leaf in it and it was tough and chewy and I know you normally have Good Food but what I get disappointed about is beingcharged a lot for a Plate and not been given the Portions I paid for even though when I brought it to the attention of the girlwho bagged my Plate she did make it right with the Yams for me and put some in a Container for me! Just a suggestion if you’regoing to Charge me a high Price I’m fine with that but your employee’s should be informed to give people the portions theyPay for!
