I love this place. We dined in on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy only about 10+ other people there and a group at the... bar, the vibe was romantic/cozy. The ambiance was relaxing. We chose seating in a booth near a window for a view of the street.Our waitress was so sweet, she made sure my husbands steak was cooked to his liking and did a great job of checking in on us.The food was very good and portioned well, the alcoholic beverages were just as excellent. My cranberry mule was simplydelightful, the salmon was nothing short of delicious and the asparagus was seasoned/prepared to perfection. The dessert menuhas so many options, there is something for everyone. We shared the pineapple butter cake with ice cream, and what a way to topoff our meal; it was sooooo good. I've been to this M&S location several times. This evening the food and service was just about perfect. Excellent flavors and... superb presentation. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and on point! My only complaint is that it's fairly expensive comparedto other similar restaurants. But I'd still recommend and will certainly be back. MLB Read more

Had a reservation, which was honored quickly. Our server was impeccable with his recommendations and efficiency. The food was... the best I had in Houston, and I'd visited a steakhouse the prior evening that was 3 times the price who couldn't hold a candleto this place. My steak was prepared truly medium-well with perfectly sautéed shrimp. The entire meal was expertly done, andmy extremely finicky eater sister even enjoyed the salmon. The cocktail champagne spritzer was yummy. The cocktail menu had agood variety. The venue is conveniently located a couple of blocks from the convention center. We went last night, there were 7 of us, it was a special surprise dinner for my family before going to a Christian Christmas... Concert at The Toyota Center. I did A LOT of research on downtown restaurants before deciding on this one. The food was verygood, the atmosphere was very nice, the location was great. But unfortunately our service was NOT what a restaurant with theseprices should offer! I was more zestfully descriptive of menu item recommendations than she was and that was just from readingall the reviews. I then had to go ask the hostess to have our waitress please come back to our table because we had all beensitting there with empty glasses and dirty appetizer plates for a while with our waitress nowhere in site. Spending this muchmoney on a dining experience is something my family has only done one other time, it was planned to be a truly magical evening. We still had a wonderful night, and my family was so appreciative! It is just disappointing to not be able to give the entireexperience a five star rating especially since it came with a 5 star price! Good place. Not quite enough to earn a 5-star but good, dependable food and great service. Prices may be a big higher than I... would normally pay for the food being served but the atmosphere is good, wait staff is incredibly attentive, and overall keeps agood image for the brand. Will remain on my list of restaurants to take customers in the Houston area. Read more

Came here for dinner and happy hour after work. I loved everything about this place. I looked up the menu before heading here... and saw the fish tacos and man was I glad I ordered them. Very good portion for the cost and the flavor was unbeatable. Forappetizers I tried the calamari, which was delicious, and fries. I highly recommend this place to others and will definitely beback. They have an outstanding happy hour! We sat out on the patio and ordered a few items off the happy hour menu. They also have... special pricing on wine by the glass. Our waiter was great, very attentive and kept my tea refilled. The calamari was a littlemore crispy veggies with a little calamari but still enjoyable and the dipping marinara sauce was so good!
