We ordered the catfish and grits, oxtail greens, and mac n cheese. The food was AMAZING. Best mac n cheese I had at any Houston... establishment. My wife didn't like the grits that much, stated it could be season better, but also said it went well enough withthe pickled garnishment. So because of that and the crowded/vibe atmosphere is while I deducted just one star. But willdefinitely go again. Read more

We had a great server and the food was very good. We had to sit outside because they do not take same day reservations but the... patio was well shaded and they had misting fans to keep us cool. We had the Chilli biscuits for an appetizer then I order theoxtail and my partner ordered the fish and grits with a side of Mac and cheese. We left full and happy Read more

Recently took a short road trip to the great city of Houston, Texas to visit some relatives and also to view a special... exhibition at The Museum of Fine Arts. While I was in Houston I had lunch at Lucille's, a restaurant that has been on my radarfor the last couple of years. My party of 4 was quickly seated, as we did have a reservation. We started lunch with Fried GreenTomatoes and they were hot and delicious. For the main entree my cousin's wife and I both ordered the Yardbird, which is 2pieces of Fried Chicken (leg & thigh) with smoked mashed potatoes and FRESH Collard Greens with a side of cornbread. My sisterordered the seared scallops with a side of Collard Greens, my cousin decided on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with Fries. EVERYTHINGand I do mean EVERYTHING was on point. No complaints, the food was Absolutely Scrumptious and the service was Exceptional(Thanks Joseph). We finished lunch with dessert, warm bread pudding with berries on top ????. Definitely a Winner. Lucille'slived up to all the rave reviews. The only drawback was the the limited amount of parking around the restaurant but, other thanthat 5 stars ??????????. Read more

Great dinner everything was absolutely delicious. Service was a bit slow but I understand there is still a lot of places short... staffed including my own business. Cocktails we’re delicious, nice and unique mixers. Octopus appetizer was amazing and ourfavorite appetizer, biscuits were ok for them being their signature appetizer. Pork and beans main course was overall verygood, just lacked a bit of salt. Braised oxtails was just perfect! Overall had a great experience and we see ourselves comingback in the future. Read more

If you’re in the Houston area, definitely check out Lucille’s. I highly highly recommend making a reservation, it gets... packed! Parking is mostly street parking and tough to find. They do offer “complimentary” valet service. We did Brunch on aSaturday and loved it. We opted for outdoor patio seating since we had a baby with us. Loved it. It was a beautiful day andtheir outdoor seating is really nice, they have shaded areas above the tables and also had live music. We ordered the chilibites for our appetizer, definitely a tasty bite size snack! Think chili filling inside some biscuit dough topped with meltedcheese and some sort of southwest taco seasoning aioli. Then we ordered the oxtail omelet (really good), croissant French toastwith chicken wings (good, croissant was kind of dry, wish it was a little more buttery and soaked a little more in the Frenchtoast batter) and the catfish with grits (amazing, love the cornmeal light batter, must order!). Service was great. Our serverScorpio was really sweet. Very personable and kind. Other team members were on top of clearing the table as well. Overall awonderful experience! Read more

I recommend the hot chicken sandwich and oxtail omelette. The chicken in the sandwich was amazing! The glaze they use is... definitely delicious and taste fresh. My friend got the French toast and it’s a bit too sweet for me and it has a differenttaste to it. Not your original French toast for sure. I also got the watermelon sangria. The drink was small and I don’t thinkit was worth $9. It didn’t have a fresh taste to it either. Overall, the food was amazing and I do recommend coming here! Read more

Nice ambiance, fun vibes, contemporary and not stiff. Friendly server with efficient services. Delicious meals. Tips: Valet... parking available, though plenty of street parking if you drive around the block. Do RSVP as there is always a wait over theweekend. With each table meal time capped at 1.5 hours, fast service, the wait queue does move relatively fast. Read more
