Met Kevin and the crew at Lonestar last week- the sausages are made in-house and are so good! They just did some renovation to... have seating next door so don?t be shy to dine in ???? I ordered the three meat: sausage, brisket, and ribs with baked beansand potato salad. I?ll dream of those baked beans. My friend got the baked potato with ribs and she ate it all- minus two ribs???? (which speaks volumes because she?s not a big eater) Everything was great for three ladies visiting from Hawaii. (Icould?ve done without the bread, lol) tip: don?t be scared of the bars on the windows and doors lol it?s legit???????????????????????????? Read more

I'm getting picky about my BBQ as I get older. Many places load up on the spices and skimp on the smoke and cooking time, and... it's obvious in merely one or two bites. I like flavor that balances these two factors, and eschews sauces. Having said that,Lonestar is simply the apex of my experiences. They make their own sausage here, and it's not overly-punchy on the flavor, opting again for a balanced palette. I had the three meat platter of sausage, ribs, and brisket. The ribs were nicely cooked, excellent smoke flavor (to the point that I can't say there was much more than salt and pepper on it), and moist despite theobvious time spent in the smoker. The brisket is phenomenal. I consider brisket to be the ultimate test of a BBQ, if simplybecause it's the easiest thing to mess up. The edging was coated in a well proportioned mix of spices, but again, the smokeflavor came through most, making the edging an occasional flavor spike. The only down side of my visit was that I arrived justafter they ran out of chicken, so I didn't det a chance to sample that as well. The sides were green beans and fried okra, bothof which were genuine and delicious. All told, I spent about $22, and had enough leftovers to stuff myself fully later thatnight. The short version of an already long review: This was hands-down the best BBQ I have had in my life. Read more

Some of the best bbq I?ve tasted in a long time. The sausage & ribs are my absolute favorite! The baked potatoes are HUGE! You... can eat off of them at least 2 or 3 times & they have great portions for the price. The people that work there are friendly &welcoming & make you feel like family! I dream about those sausages, lol! You will not be disappointed if you try this place! Read more

This is some of the best barbecue I have had in a long time. This is truly pit smoked barbecue! Made with a lot of love! I... ordered the four meat plate to split between myself and my guest. We both were totally full and satisfied. I ordered thechicken, ribs, brisket and sausage. It was delicious! My two sides were baked beans and collard greens. They were both yummy andflavorful! The ribs literally fell off the bone when I picked them up. They served the sauce on the side, which made it greatfor dipping and for me to control the amount of sauce I had with each bite. This place is small, quaint and cozy. With a feelgood vibe! It felt like I was eating dinner at a family members home - that?s how comfortable you?ll feel in thisrestaurant. Everyone was very polite, my food came out quickly, the temperature and the taste of every single thing wasperfect! I got to meet the owner as well; he is an amazing guy with a great sense of humor! I definitely will be returning soon!He is expanding the restaurant as he has bought some of the space next-door to expand his capacity! And did I mention you won?tbreak the bank when dining here and you will definitely feel satisfied all the way around!! ?Thanks Google Maps for over 1Million views? Read more

Lonestar Sausage & BBQ serves outstanding Texas BBQ. I ordered the 3 meat plate, and chose ribs, brisket and sausage; for sides... I ordered baked beans, dirty rice and coleslaw. The meats were incredible. The brisket cut I ordered was the point/moist(fatty) cut of brisket, which was outstanding. The ribs were perfectly flavored and had great consistency. The sausage washome made and had great flavor. The portion size of the meat was enormous, I suggest if you order the 3 meat or more platteryou share it between two people or plan to have leftovers. This restaurant has seating but isn?t really a sit down restaurant. The restaurant is more suited for to-go orders. The sides were good, but the meats were outstanding. You receive a ton offood for the price, I highly recommend this restaurant to any BBQ lover. Read more

Some great bbq. Staff was extremely friendly and great to talk to. food came out hot and quick. All of it was delicious but they... put sausage in the name for a reason it was amazing and something you should definitely try if you go. Hope to come here againnext time I'm in town Read more

I ordered the 4 meat dinner with two sides (greens and macaroni). The macaroni is good and I wish I would?ve ordered more. The... greens need some attention, I wish I would?ve gotten something else. The cashier/ possible owner was nice and my food came outquick. I was happy I didn?t have to tell them to put my bbq sauce on the side. The establishment is small but clean andorganized. If i was given more napkins, seasoned greens, and being able to use card for dessert I would?ve put 5 stars. I willcome back and try more stuff on the menu. Read more
