5 stars always. The building is old, but their food is anything but! This family run restaurant takes pride in the food they... make. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are delicious and so is the lemongrass tofu. Only drawback is that parking directly outsidecan be challenging so sometimes you have to park down the street. One of the yummiest places to eat in Houston, and it is veryaffordable. Read more

I took the metro rail and want to eat a Vietnamese sandwiches so I googled it and found this restaurant within walking distance... from the metro stop. It?s just behind Leon?s Lounge. I had the egg rolls and a sandwich. The egg rolls was awesome m, nofillers, just meat and seafood. The skin is thin and it just like my mom made it because I want meat not egg rolls skin. Hot offthe fryers and I was so happy. The sandwich is the same, really good meat and veggies and bread is really fresh. Parking is abit tight so it may be crowded around lunch time but if you take the metro rail, stop by to try it out and you won?t regretit. Update: I went to Oklahoma City for work and had a meal at one of the top Vietnamese restaurant there for the last 30years. Similar egg rolls and Pho. After tasting it, I had to go back to this place. I lived in Houston for almost 30 years andin California for 15 years and had not had such good food like this. It reminds me of going with my grandpa to the local shopsfor breakfast or lunch. The same kind of vibes and the same kind of taste. The coffee has to be thick, strong and a littlebitter. The egg rolls are light and crispy and the duck soup is just wonderful. My mom owned a little cafeteria back home andshe can cook but it still not as good as this chef. They have been in this location for 40 years. It?s amazing to be able tofind treasures like this right in here. It reminds me of my trip in Vietnamese where I got really good food like this. I nowknow where to go when I am craving good food. I use the metro to downtown and if I am on the metro, I just get off and headover there. Kudos to the chef! Read more

One of my favorite spots for Vietnamese home cooking style. Simple but so flavorful, especially on the bo luc lac. The banh bot... chien was also so crispy and its texture was perfect! Read more

Absolutely love this place? Family run, tastes amazing. I usually get their banh mi (sandwich) and tried several different... kind, they are really good, pork with fried egg is awesome. Egg rolls, one plate has 4 and is served with lettuce and fishsauce. Bo Luc Lac - I enjoyed it, every place serves it their own way, this one came with fried rice. I recommend you try thisplace, parking is tight but that?s okay. TRY IT? Read more

Had the Lemongrass Pork Chops for lunch and enjoyed it very much! I accompanied it with a Coconut Water. The service was... pleasant, my food came out at an adequate wait time. Great little spot in midtown, family owned, can't go wrong. Read more
