Wonderful experience at Kanau last night! We had the omakase flight and sashimi flight and 2 rolls, 2 types of nigiris, a pork... skewer and ika tempura. The servers were masked and gloved up, appreciated that! Read more
We chose this restaurant for a nice family dinner for the holidays and we had a lovely time. Our favorite dishes were: the... smoking ghost (yellowtail), the smoked halibut and the Thai cowboy roll. We also enjoyed the bone marrow and the poke tacos. Theseared salmon roll and the Kanau roll were good but we all thought the midtown roll was rather bland. Food was very fresh andbeautifully presented. Our server disappeared on us several times and we were needing refills on our water frequently. Two ofour rolls didn’t come out and she came out and asked us if we were done with everything. We had to tell her we never got outtwo rolls. Atmosphere was trendy and fun but it was a little loud. There was a large party celebrating a birthday behind us sothey got louder as the evening progressed. The restaurant is also pretty small. The birthday party table was backed up right toour table so we couldn’t move our chairs back and people were rubbing up against us as the passed behind us. Read more
My husband took me here for my birthday dinner last night and it was such an amazing experience, and everything we had was... delicious! We did the 11 course chef tasting with the wagyu upgrade. They told us after this visit they will be changing up thecourses to give us something different to look forward to next season. Staff was extremely professional and very personable. Wecan’t find a sushi spot that serves exotic freshness near us, so I’m glad this spot opened up. The drinks are definitely onpoint as well. Our new favorite spot. We will be back forever and ever! High class fine dining sushi but it’s expensive. We had a great time. The dishes were fresh, delicious, and quality fish.
