Reviews for Heights & Co. in Houston, TX
Came for brunch. We waited a long time for the food and it was very bland. No one was in the restaurant. They didn’t ask... how we wanted our eggs, so we each got undercooked sunny-side up on all dishes. Not sure how, but the mimosas were not good. Had almost no OJ and the sparkling was very flat. Perhaps a bottle from the prior night. May come back for lunch as there seemto be good reviews for lunch and drinks. Would not recommend brunch at all. Read more
Fun little place in the heights. The drinks are really good and the server was friendly. Highly recommend their Gin and Tonic.... The inside is small but the patio is nice and spacious Read more
Fun little place. The drinks are really good but they server took a long time to get our order. The inside is very small. The... patio is bigger but it was too hot to sit outside.\n\nI went with my sister and we had the caipirinha and the salted watermeloncocktails. The salted watermelon was soooo good and very refreshing. Next time I’m getting that one. The caipirinha was goodtoo but not as good as the salted watermelon.\n\nFor lunch we had the steak and fries and the pork schnitzel. Both entrees werereally good. The steak comes with a corn pepper sauce and it’s so good. The pork schnitzel comes with spaetzle, which are likelittle dumplings made out of eggs ( I loved it )\n\nOverall good food and drinks but service could be better. Read more
The service was great. The patio is a really nice spot to hang out. The cocktails appear to be premixed and the drinks we had... (the gin and tonic and the spritzer) were overdone - big, sharp tastes without any subtlety (especially the thyme in the gin andtonic). The menu is limited, which isn’t a terrible thing but the brisket grilled cheese I had was dry and not much cheeseconsidering its part of the name. Read more
This place has potential! The inside needs work though. White walls, white ceiling and white LED lights make for a very sterile... hospital-like feel, not so much a welcoming trendy bar. The easy fix is warmer light bulbs and at least a cool mural orsomething on one of the walls. Anything but white on white on white, it just doesn’t give the vibe that I think this place isgoing for. Other than that, drinks were pretty good, and although it was too hot to sit outside, I can see the patio being anice hang out spot in the fall. Read more
Great cocktails for half price during happy hour and they are really really good. The brisket grilled cheese, blue cheese... stuffed bacon wrapped dates, and bordelaise burger are mouthwatering good. The bar staff is quick and attentive. Read more
Great service! Waiters were friendly ???? and food was amazing! You should order the steak frites!!!
I really wanted to like this place more. The positives were the big covered patio, the renovations inside (changed from the... previous restaurant) created a surprisingly nice ambience for the small space, and the cocktails & wine were good.Unfortunately, the food and service were not as enjoyable. The table was dirty & we had to ask twice for it to be cleaned.Initial contact from our server took a long time in spite of it not being that busy. The server also seemed to struggle to smileor show any personality at all. The queso tasted like canned cheese. The steak frites were disappointing. The fries were cookedwell but the steak was WAY overcooked, very salty, & the gravy tasted oddly sweet. We want to support neighborhood businesses &may give it one more chance another time. Read more
