So much good potential here!! The menu pulls you in, but the actual food wasn't really that great. Wonderful venue with plenty... of possibilities but everything could have been a little more seasoned. Love the staff though!! Read more

Had my daughter's birthday party here recently. It was my first time visiting this establishment. The managers (Caleb, Hector,... and Evelyn) and staff was absolutely wonderful. I don't know how many people would show up for the party, so I didn't make areservation. Despite that fact, the managers secured enough tables for my guest, and our waitress was great! She really workedwith our and 15 kids and made the whole experience incredible. The food was great, too! My daughter was totally delighted andtruly enjoyed her birthday party. I can't the Harold's staff enough for making her day special. Read more

Hidden gem! ???? Located in the Old Heights! I love the vibe of this place. There’s a downstairs bar and upstairs has seating... indoor and outdoor. I also was pleased to see there were fans on the deck as well! I really enjoyed the brunch menu, it wasdefinitely cajun inspired. They had a special on mimosa carafes for $15! I also had a perfect bloody mary! Definitely wouldreturn. I recommend reserving a table for brunch. Read more

Really enjoyed eating upstairs with a view of the classic heights area. Very clean and nicely decorated. Food was delicious. We... came at lunch so it was too hot to sit on the patio but will come back for happy hour next time once it gets cooler out. I tooka star off because the service was sooo slow. Only one other table that had already finished eating by the time we were sat.Took us over an hour. Read more

Found this gem and enjoyed an evening out for our dinner while in Houston. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the fried... chicken. Food was good, only complaint is the flies that got in as the outside terrace door opened. The drinks were good andthe food was good. Read more

My wife and I wanted to grab a bite out but keep it in the neighborhood so we decided on Harold’s. We sat upstairs but I heard... the do some good deep dish pizza downstairs. I asked if I could get one of the pizzas from downstairs. The waiter was checkedand said they are not making pizzas today which seemed weird considering that’s a good chunk of their downstairs menu. Also,it seems confusing to have separate menus for upstairs and downstairs to start with. Anyway, we used the QR code to get the foodand drink menus but unfortunately, they don’t keep the drink menu updated so the first few beers I asked for were no longeravailable. We ordered the bread service and what they brought out is crostini. We asked the waiter if they could just bringsome bread and he was able to find some. They have some other dishes that say crostini, but the bread service clearly saysbread. Probably another instance of having a more updated menu. My wife ended up getting the chicken fried chicken and I gotthe shrimp and grits. Both the mains were good. We got the granny cake and that was a highlight. Overall, good if not a bitquirky. Had some business in town early on a Sat morning so figured we would hit up brunch somewhere while there. I had never heard of... Harold's, but admittedly, I am neither Houstonian by birth (although I got here as fast as I could) or an Inner Looper, so whywould I know anything that happens outside of suburbia? LOL. Harold's has a great atmosphere and I literally want to come herein the evening and sit at the bar, as it's a cool vibe. But this review really is about my brunch today. I ordered a mimosa, and also a coffee, as I could not decide if I wanted to be awake or chillin' with a slight buzz, so why not do both? I mean, you only live once right? I ordered the Harold's Breakfast Sandwich. I do not know what the Husband ordered and he can writehis own review. LOL. I do not generally eat biscuits, they really just are not my thing, although I did growing up. However, Icould not believe how delicious this breakfast sandwich was. I ordered my eggs scrambled for the sandwich. Everything tasted sofresh and made from scratch! I would order this again on a future trip. We split some fruit and it was tasty, too. All-in-all, a great brunch that has me hankering to go back soon! Read more
