Riding my bike to this little gem and getting myself a coffee and snack is one of my guilty pleasures. I got fries once and... couldn't get over how big and awesome they were. I just love everything about this spot. It may be one of the best parts ofHouston. Update: I'm so sad. I took my friend here raving about the place and it failed so hard it hurt. For nearly $8 we got acroissant that tasted like it came from a gas station microwave. We didn't even get the second one we ordered and had to wait inline again to get it. The coffee was thankfully still good, but I asked for hot and they gave me iced. I gave up and just drankit, but I was deeply disappointed at this trip. I hope it was a fluke...... Read more

I live within walking distance so I go here often. I have always had great service. The coffee is delicious, especially the... Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte. The banana bread is moist and tasty. It can get busy but the service is still quick. Read more

My 10 yr old son and I love coming to Ginger Kale. He always gets a chai latte and grilled cheese. We drop my husband off at... cardiac therapy and then come to Hermann Park and enjoy a treat from here. Anny is an amazing server and so sweet. My son reallylikes her. Read more

Beautiful view of Herman park, sit outside or inside. I love the decoration super cool with where the place is. The attention is... super cool but a little slow. Not much variety of food, it's more like for a coffee. The strawberry chia pudding was super bad,the strawberries were super old. The lemonade was quite refreshing oatmeal cookie ok I would go back to the place just for theview. The place has potential but needs to improve a lot. Read more

Middle of the park and not too much competition, so you can bet there is a lot of demand for coffee. And this place for sure... delivers it. Also a lot of very interesting healthy choices available. Went here 2 times and was really amazed. They try to bequick with everything but the amount of people coming is staggering, not a single person went to clean the tables thou so peopleclean up themselves before sitting down and if they are a bit friendly then also after themselves. This seems to be the only place to eat in Herrman Park right outside the Houston Zoo, and it leaves a lot to be desired. I came... in about 40 minutes before closing and it wasn't busy at all. The sandwiches and pastries looked good but I chose the chickenquesadilla. Worst quesadilla I have ever had, a 4 year old could make a better one. Very dry, and barely any cheese inside, justhorrible! I was starving after walking, and afraid to order anything else. I went to sit down and every single table in theplace was dirty! Mind you it's very small, and there were 5 workers behind the counter looking very bored...wipe down sometables maybe. One star, for the LEMONADE. This place needs to do better for a tourist area. Great location in Herman Park to walk around. Place has beautiful decor! Was a bit disappointed that the food was not so much... bistro like but rather much of the food was pre-made. Read more
