Staff was very nice. But I had one cheeseburger, the smallest fries order , and NO drink. $17 Definitely not a meal worth that... price. Five Guys has gotten full of themselves. No wonder it was empty at 12pm in a high traffic area of town. If I hadn't hada gift card I wouldn't go. Read more
Normally, I love this place, decent burgers, patties always get soggy, but you know what you're getting. This is my favorite five guys, location, near my work. The manager runs one of the cleanest, friendliest and quickest food... franchises in the Houston area. He's always greeting people as they come in the door and he's a good 50 or 60 ft away eithercooking or running a register. Upon entering a few days ago, I was getting an order for two people and wanted to split my orderof fries as the order, as I already mentioned was for two different folks. I ordered one bacon cheeseburger plain. I ordered asecond one with lots of goodies on it and then ask for a large order of fries to just be split between the two bags. Thegentleman that was taking my order told me he could not do that. I said which part and he said that they could not split thefries in two bags, I asked why that was not possible. He said they were not allowed to do that. I said you normally put acertain amount of fries in one of the paper cups and then you just dump a bunch of fries on top of that into the bag, I'm justasking for you to set the bucket of fries in one bag and whatever the extra that you're going to provide throw in the other bag.The gentleman looked at me and said that he could not do that. I told him thank you and he can cancel my order because I wasleaving. As I was headed downtown with my five guys order, which I did not have now, I looked to see if there was another onenear where I was going to meet my friend for lunch. There was so I just went to the second location and made the exact sameorder and request and the person there didn't have a problem with splitting my fries into two bags. I will be back into thislocation again as I have stated and I really like the manager at this particular location. But it was a disappointingexperience, since I wasn't asking for anything I felt was extraordinary. But this is our youth of today. UPDATE: wanted to try this again because it might?ve been a mistake but they gave EVEN LESS this time for a REGULAR sized one... which should feed at least 4 people. They used the smallest cup btw. BY FAR THE WORST FRANCHISE OF FIVE GUYS! DO NOT GOHERE! I went to Five Guys almost weekly when I lived in the suburbs and they always give a massive amount of fries regardlessof the regular or large size of fries. Went here and I got the smallest portion I?ve ever seen when I ordered a regular size. Itlooked smaller than a small. I was pretty disappointed. I wanted to hate this place because it had been really hyped up; I didn't want to b.h Ve on the bandwagon. But I'm sold on this... burger joint! What a great experience!!! The cheeseburger was Tasty!! I shared it with my date and it was filling and flavorful.I can't talk enough about the French fry seasoning!!! Out of the national chains, definitely #2. The burgers are tasty, the fries are tasty. Some attention to detail on the quality... and freshness of the veggies would help it out a great deal. The amount and variety of toppings is insanity. Definitely get toexperience something different. Read more
