This place never fails to deliver a delicious elote. They serve it with perfect amount of everything. It is the perfect place... for any Mexican cravings. I checked this place out yesterday with the family. Order came out pretty quick. Corn was cooked well, I still felt it was... missing something else toppings seemed bland. Also, the hot sauce was kind of sour for my tasting. Maybe a little pricetransparency would be great. I wish this place the best! hoping they can improve. Read more
Houston has a very large Hispanic population so elote is available abundantly throughout the city at food trucks, stalls and... even at some fusion restaurants like 85 degrees. However, the Elote Spot holds itself above all else. It is a Houstoninstitution for Corn in various forms and factors. They also offer white corn and a range of fruits and drinks. Best elote I?ve had thus far in the greater Houston area! And that?s saying something because I?ve tried quite a bit due to a... craving after coming back from a trip to Mexico! Totally worth the price in my opinion. This place is a small little shop onthe (left) side of a larger restaurant with a few picnic tables for outdoor seating. If you haven?t had elote, this is theplace to try it. And if you have, just go here and thank me later! It?s worth whatever drive for the taste and the price. I gowith elote on the cob, which I?m a bit partial to but they have by the cup as well. You can choose yellow v white corn, chili vwithout chili (beware, it?s definitely spicy!). This place was gross. The texture and flavor were both off in the elote. Super bland and very grainy. Prices seem like a scam,... as many other reviews point out. Proportions were wrong, seasoning was absent, and sauce was bad. I know of plenty other placesto go to. Regret giving this a try. Read more
