Good food. Reasonable prices. Grossly understaffed. Wasn?t served within 5 minutes of arriving to order. Employee is too busy... with packaging online orders. Saw multiple people come to order, waited 5 minutes and then left. Read more

I had the Farmer's plate of shrimp, mixed vegetables, and Brussel sprouts. For $24, the portion size was not great. While the... vegetables and sprouts were ok, the mostly raw shrimp was pretty unforgivable. I showed an employee, and was told they weresorry. No offer of a discount or refund was made. Raw seafood can make people very very sick, and for that to go out when theyweren't even busy is just unacceptable. Hopefully they get their staff trained better before they kill someone. Read more

Shrimp and grits have no flavor! One little sliver of hard burnt bacon... Today was my birthday and I just wanted to spoil... myself and boy was I wrong!!! Ordered online and still had to wait extra time when they weren't even busy... just lazy and nosince of urgency. Even the attitude of the cook lady seemed like she didn't even want to work today... So, My first visit was on 1/29/22 and i must say, I loved it. Scenery was amazing. These new beignets OMGGGG..so amazing and... I'm not a big pastry eater but those will be my new favorite guilty pleasure. I had the shrimp and grits for my meal. The grits, cooked perfect, as well as the shrimp. The only complaint was the food was not hot. it was more on the warm side, as if it hadbeen sitting but we only waited maybe 10minutes before food came out so I don't think it sat. Upon trying it on 1/29, I had togo back and try this place again, so went back today, 1/31/22, but this time I got the deconstructed chicken pot pie...:-( nota fan and I lovveee me some pot pie. Potatoes were hard and flavor just wasn't there. Overall good spot. I would stick withthe brunch menu though. Read more

I got the steak tacos, and at first, I was a little skeptical that two tacos could count as a meal. But then the tacos came out,... and it made sense. Not only were the tacos large, but each was heaped with what could probably count as a side salad at arestaurant. These were probably the most vegetal tacos I?ve ever had, but it was actually nice to have the crunch and greenflavors. The steak itself was cooked well, still juicy. I would have preferred less cheese on my tacos, because the flavor was alittle overwhelming, but hey, to each their own. The bowl of beans that came on the side was a little confusing because therewasn?t rice to eat it with, and putting them on the tacos would have been overkill. But for what it?s worth, they were stillpretty tasty when I ate them alone. I?d say the steak tacos were a pretty good dish if you?re looking for something a littlenew-Tex-Mex-y, and don?t want to feel too heavy after eating. Read more

Incredible place to grab a quick bite to eat. It's located right in the heart of Houston's business district with a variety of... options. Dish Society in my opinion had some of the best breakfast dishes I've tasted. I got the traditional breakfast which isconsists of just eggs cooked to your choice, bacon, toast with butter and jam and a fruit bowl. Service was quick, the place wasextremely clean and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. You can just sit and enjoy your meal comfortably over here. Read more

This was my second time chowing down at Dish Society inside of Finn Hall. I'm always around the lunch crowd so it's packed, but... I've always gotten my food fresh and quick. I decided to go with the Brisket stuffed sweet potato. Exactly as it sounds, it's asweet potato loaded with brisket, as well as some extras like barbecue sauce and coleslaw. All of the flavors worked welltogether, but you kind of lose them in the medley. I would definitely recommend anyone in the downtown area looking a quickbite to stop by Dish Society at Finn Hall. Was nervous when I first walked in because the place was empty. Not many people downtown on a Sunday morning. Gonna highly... recommend the breakfast tacos with avocado. Some of the best I?ve ever had. Great service also. No Cash.. Credit or Apple Payonly!! That is my only gripe. Read more
