Reviews for Corner Bakery in Houston, TX
The coffee is Terrible! don’t bother. I got an americano and it makes me wonder if the espresso machine is being properly... maintained. I think they burned it with too high brew temp. Wife said the peach tea was good, not too sweet. The pastries weregood though. The wait staff in the morning were not really attentive or service-minded. Asked them to heat up the muffin I gotand it was still cold … ? Not a welcoming atmosphere. They need to improve their attitude. Read more
It has been 20 mins we are waiting for 2 cups of coffee and a croissant. We requested the croissant to be warmed up. It is not a... busy time at all. Probably only 10% of this tables are occupied. The lady brought in the croissant completely burned. Wereturned it back. Yet no coffee. It’s already 25 mins. Inside is smelly. Server and cashier is disengaged. Totallydisappointing experience. I like the other corner bakery. But this one at memorial location is total disappointment Read more
I asked for crispy bacon, not burnt. It tastes like they got it off somebody's plate yesterday. Not only was my bacon burned,... but my eggs which were supposed to be fluffy, were also burned. Food here used to be great. What happened? Definitely not worththe expense. Don't get blueberry pancakes. It's better to make your own. At least you know what you're getting. Read more

Cozy little corner bakery; the name is perfect. Several seating options available: high stools, regular chairs, single seat... booths and double seat booths. Lots of deli choices including, but not limited to, sandwiches, soups and desserts. Staff are allfriendly and polite. I like the order style. Walk to the counter, order food, staff brings food to you, staff buses table. Afterall this, they didn’t ask me for a tip when I was checking out. That’s a plus. I’ve been to so many places who do less toserve self yet they still tip shame you at the checkout. It’s so prevalent these days. Anyway, I enjoyed my BBLT (extra“B” for the loads of bacon?) and chicken orzo soup. The orzo soup broth was thicker than I’m used to at other places, butit was also heartier with chunks of carrot, chicken and large orzo. One suggestion I would make is to stop calling the Lay’sbagged chips “DELI” chips. I was expecting a house made chip not a store brand bag. Other than that, my lunch was good. Ilike the decor and the noise is pretty low (I can’t stand loud places). It’s a great place to sit and enjoy lunch alone orwith company. Join the rewards club and receive $5 off your first purchase. $10.59 (minus my $5 reward) for sandwich, chips, cupof soup and a water. NO TIP! :) Disclaimer: I am not above tipping by any means. I am a 20% tipper 99% of the time, but theincessant need to ask for a tip before I’ve tasted the food or before I have received the service is ridiculous. Read more
Good café style food ???? I love the cheddar and broccoli soup. And the salads and sandwiches are super good too!! But the... best thing out of everything we order is the cinnamon roll! They only make a certain amount of them so if they are sold outthat's it you have to try another day. We had it happen to us once or twice, bummer! Lol. Read more
I really like this place. The food is fresh, there are plenty of healthy options, and it’s a great place to meet and socialize... without any pressure to leave after finishing eating. And on top of all that, it’s where I first met the woman who has becomethe love of my life. How could I not give it five stars? :>) Read more
