I was served the most bland, matcha-less matcha latte I?ve ever tasted. I also ordered a chicken salad croissant that was served... to me cold instead of crispy and warm. Disappointing. Read more
I visit Houston every few months and Common Bond is always a must. I have to admit that my two prior occasions almost made me... not want to come back. I literally said 3rd times a charm, so in or out Marcella??? On this last visit I am proud to say, I amdefinitely in. My chicken salad croissant was amazing!!! If you haven?t had it before, you are missing out. The real reason forwriting this review wasn?t only to tell you how good my croissant was or how refreshing the hibiscus lemonade was, but to talkabout the customer service I received. Everyone was so friendly and while I was seated enjoying my lunch, the manager Kvantecame by to speak to me and surrounding tables. This young man was a delight. To hear him talk about how great his new team iswas great for me to hear. He was genuinely happy to hear I was happy and even offered an apology when I told him this was almostmy last time in this location. I feel like this location used to be pretty good, not sure what has happened over the last few months. I think after my lasts... visit, this will be my last time going to this location. The Coffee,syrup, milk ratio is super off and I don?t remember italways being that way. My last couple coffees have not been drinkable. I have always had a good experiences at their otherlocations, but for some reason this one is not as good. Read more
The quality of this place has really gone down over the past two years. They used to make breakfast sandwiches fresh. Now they... premake them and they?re soggy when you get them :( also sometimes they run out before breakfast is over. Anything other thantheir breakfast/pastries/coffee just is not good. The coffee is okay. Drink quality is not consistent. If you order a flavoredlatte half the time you cannot taste the flavor. Try if you must but there are better places a stone?s throw away. I'm so glad more independent coffee shops are gearing towards drive thru. I need more options than Starbucks and their... ridiculously long lines! I love that this Common Bond is less than 5 minutes from my house, and that it's along the way towork.Typically I'll grab coffee on the go or a few pastries to share with fellow colleagues. Their location is much smaller thanthe others, which makes it more discrete. I have noticed lately that the drive thru is getting a bit busier lately. Although itis smaller, their menu is still extensive. I'll either get the frozen bond (espresso, whole milk, sugar - already pre blended),or a hot Nutella latte. Nutella is not a syrup on their menu, but it is an option. You'd usually see it at their otherlocations. Overall, Common Bond on-the-go Heights location, is my preferred, quick go-to for coffee on the road. Read more
