We came here for HRW. I was so excited to try this place as their menu looked amazing. To say I was disappointed was an... understatement. This was by far our most disappointing HRW we had this year. They were out of the crabcakes and steak. I hadreally wanted the crabcake benedict and that is what brought us there. The only good thing about our experience was ouroverworked server. She was great! I would not go back here, nor recommend anyone else waste their time here either. There areway too many outstanding restaurants in Houston to settle for some sub par food. Read more

Amazing brunch spot for adults 21 and over. Food, service and drinks were excellent. James gave superb customer service. The... bacon wrapped scallops were to die for. My steak was cooked perfect. We will definitely be back again. Read more

1 word underwhelming. Came for HTX Restaurant Weeks (HRW). Meal descriptions were misleading. Some flags were all patrons at... table must order off HRW menu or the entire table must order off the regular menu (no mixing) & 20% gratuity no matter partysize. We ordered 2 drinks each, we liked 2/6 drinks. Summer Nights and Purple Haze were very good. Apps ordered were SrirachaMac & Cheese balls, Beef & Bacon sliders, & Crab Cakes with Chutney. The sliders were the best IMO but the consensus favorite ofthe table were the Mac & cheese balls. Sliders had a good flavor, bacon was sweet that added a nice compliment to the burger.Only complaint is burger was the size of a golf ball and the bun was a brioche mini bun. Mac and Cheese balls were basic, noflavor IMO. No spice from the Sriracha at all. It was like they scooped out a ball from a casserole, breaded and fried it. Thecrab cakes were soft like most crab cakes but the most disappointing part was the chutney. I didn't even see the chutney becausethere was only a small amount smashed below the crab cakes. It reminded me of how salsa looks after sitting out 4 a while.Entrees were fine. We ordered the Bayou Cream Chicken, Reverse Parmesan Chicken & "Bacon Wrapped" Scallops & Risotto. Out of the3 my favorite was the Bayou Cream Chicken. It was a grilled chicken breast with a cream base sauce with bacon and crab meat. Itcame with potatoes and green beans. The grease from the chicken coated everything so maybe that's why it was good but greenbeans and potatoes were tender and garlicky. Least favorite was the Reverse Chicken Parm. It was supposed to come w/ "angelhair" pasta per the menu but it was more along the lines of linguine or fettuccine, much thicker. The pasta was melded togetherlike left out pasta, and the 8th Wonder Vodka sauce tasted like normal marinara, like Prego. The chicken was coated in breadcrumbs and inside it was supposed to be packed with Italian herbs and cream cheese. It looked and tasted li Read more

Great visiting this "Chef Driven Wine Bar and Restaurant". Daniel is always helpful in making selections from the "Food Menu",... as well as assisting in making "Value Oriented" selections from his extensive "Wine Menu". His space is "Artfully" decorated, and has a Great Relaxing Vibe to it. I suggest the atmosphere is perfect for a quick lunch, business meeting, or specialevening with your significant other or the celebration of a special occasion. Read more

Great drinks but there food was not up to par. I ordered chicken and waffles and everything was unfortunately bland. The chicken... wings were very dry with no flavor and the waffles had no taste. We also had the chopped and screwed omelet and it was just twowet plain strips of bacon with no flavor. Scrambled eggs with regular pieces of sausage thrown in. The potatoes were way toosalted and the only piece of food that actual taste to it. I had been looking forward to this place and was very disappointed. It also seemed they were understaffed and our whole visit took about two hours for just two people. I’d go back just for thedrinks. Big hats off to Daniel Wolfe at @CCity Cellars HTX in the Museum District for creating an amazing custom wine dinner for my... husband's 50th birthday! He created a special event for 20 people where he masterfully put together a custom 5 course winedinner that was out of this world! We wanted an "elegant yet masculine" event and he did it to a "T"! He paid attention toevery.little.detail. The food was phenomenal and paired with delicious wines! His presentation of every course was outstandingand he introduced each course telling us the history behind the wine and the food he was serving. If you have a private eventyou are planning, I would highly recommend! Read more

Wonderful experience! Went on the recommendation of a friend for HRW. We got there right as they opened and met the owner. He... was super friendly and inviting. We had the fried green tomatoes and bacon wrapped scallops as our appetizers. For our maincourse we had the French Toast and The Stalliin. All of it was outstanding! The interior decorations are also great. An awesomespot for a meal. Would 100% recommend! Read more
