Great takeout. I?ve been eating here since I was a child. I?m in love with this place. I always got the Sweet & Sour chicken... with a side order of vegetable egg rolls (best egg rolls EVER, thin crunchy wrap with a medley of vegetables) Recently Ibranched out to their Kung Pao chicken and dumplings. Everything is always fantastic. The basic fried rice is pretty dang goodbut the chicken fried rice takes the cake. The addition of bean sprouts adds a lovely crunch and the chicken portion is veryvery generous. China Stix will always have a special spot in my heart. Read more
Some of the pictures below are as accurate as it gets. Unfortunately I do not have a picture because my meal was given away to a... homeless person! The food is just too soupy, and there was NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The fried rice had burnt pieces of somethingand the smell was awful. I will not be returning. Read more
We enjoyed the service and quality of the food. The lunch special General Tso's chicken was very good. My wife got the... chicken, shrimp and beef mandarin style, it may have been slightly better...both great. We both got the wonton soup and theywere really tasty, the broth had a lot of flavor, the noodles were slightly al dente....just the way I like them. The egg rollsthat came with each meal were small and average. They keep a lot of condiments on each table during the meal, I like not havingto ask for Chinese mustard, hoisin sauce, soy.......Order at the counter and they bring it to you....we'll be back. This was our first time eating there, but we heard some decent things about it, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was... polite, so they weren't the issue. We got there at about 9pm to order take out. We ordered kung pao chicken with fried rice andcurry chicken with white rice and a hot & sour soup. The order came out super quick (like 5 minutes or less), which should havebeen an indicator. The fried rice came out burnt and honestly kinda flavorless. The curry chicken was really bland, and thecurry was really watery. It almost looked like broth instead of curry with about very little chicken and mostly (90%+)vegetables. The kung pao chicken was bland with no hint of spice whatsoever. The hot & sour soup was VERY salty and not hot,only sour. The only thing that was decent was the plain white rice and the cold Vietnamese rolls...and that's a shame. By thetime we got home it was too late to try to return anything because they close at 9:30pm. Even now the food remains largelyuneaten. We spent over $30 for dinner and we are blatantly unsatisfied. I really hope this bad experience was a one-off andother customers get much better quality food here. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and food at China Stix. Once inside everyone is taking Covid-19 precautions, they are... constantly cleaning, and the staff are working over and above to get you in and out quickly. I counted 10 people behind thevisible counter (see photo - four cooks/prep, three bagging/plating, two working the tills, one constantly cleaning), and thefood comes out hot and quick - I've yet to be more than ten minutes from walking in the door, and back out again with hot, freshfood. The quality of the food is excellent. A dinner order of sweet and sour chicken was enough to re-plate and feed two peopleeasily, plus they offer combo deals with soup and spring rolls every lunchtime. A very thin crispy batter, well-cooked moistchicken, sauce on the side, and perfect steamed rice.
