I stumbled upon this place while taking care of business. I guess it's a old staple of Texas, but I was disappointed. It's very... old and dingy looking inside. I had the shrimp Po sandwich, it was okay but very dry. My husband had the grilled chicken, sidesalad and double red beans and rice. He said the food was seasoned well. I hadn't been to this location and decided to have lunch. The staff was kind and friendly. I tried the shrimp and friend grits... with cajun sauce as the cashier said I wouldn't go wrong. She was surly right. Ooooh my, it was really good. The establishmentwas clean and plenty of tables. If you want to get a great meal and hangout with family and/or friends this is the place to doso. Great cajun food! Great atmosphere! Great customer service! Thank you Louis for taking great care of us. We called you answered... with a wonderful personality. It seems like you really enjoy your job and it's refreshing! I ordered the shrimp and fish with aside of hush puppies. My husband ordered the grilled seafood combo and my brother had the seafood platter with a bowl of gumbo.My brother said it's just as good as first place gumbo cook-off. He did not even add hot sauce to it, which is something! Myhusband loved his lunch as much as I did! The music really made me feel like I was on Bourbon st.
