We had a fantastic meal at Sam Sneads last night. The service was excellent and the menu well thought out. Our dinner group... was 6 including two children - they made a plain pasta for our youngest. The cocktails were great. The rest of our group hadthe NY strip, shrimp pasta, chicken and the amberjack fish special with chimichurri sauce - all were great! Overall the newownership has done a great job with a slightly revamped concept and elevated food experience. Read more
Ricky and I thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend in Hot Springs, VA. Where did we eat the most?......Sam Sneads Tavern. This is a... newly renovated restaurant under new management! They have a new menu, wonderful chef, OUTSTANDING food, great staff and theowners are amazing as well. The atmosphere is beautiful, indoor and outdoor seating, with a creek behind it. If you're in HotSprings, VA, this is an absolute must! Best filets we have ever eaten!!! Read more
Best meal in town, I wish there was an option for 4.5 stars, bc the filet was over cooked twice, but outside of the that all the... other dishes, the ambiance and service was a 5. If your staying at the hotel its an easy walk and worth seeing. Read more
I am giving 4star mainly because of the staff and baked beans. Nikki was our Snead representative and she was AMAZING. We... had fried pickles and crab cake off the appetizer, pulled pork and salad with side of green beans and baked beans. The bakedbeans were the best I've ever had. Read more
Great atmosphere. Food is way over price, especially with all salty dishes that can cause kidney problem. BBQ Oysters has too... much salt both on the bed of the plate and on top. Pork chop is kind of dry and salty too, and most of all, a pricey steak thatalso salty and just ok taste. Service is good but with terrible and pricey food like this, we will never go back again!! We stopped in to Sam Snead’s Tavern after a hike and enjoyed a couple of beers and a delicious thin crust pizza. The bartender... was attentive and gave us great tips on the area. We were so impressed with the atmosphere and staff, we canceled dinnerreservations elsewhere and came back for dinner. Outstanding service, incredible gumbo and delicious salmon! Read more
