Quite possibly the best bagel I?ve ever eaten. I went to Hopewell Hot Bagels on a Sunday at 10:30am. Didn?t walk out with my... order till about 11am. Be prepared to wait and just know it?s worth it. Don?t try and call in during this time because you?ll bemet with a busy tone. Pictured is a everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon along with an egg bagel with friedeggs, bacon and American cheese. I also picked up a donut, a dozen bagels and coffee since I visiting a friend in the area anddidn?t want to go empty handed. Fun fact: they carry Katz donuts in almost all variety and quantities. If you know about Katz,visiting this spot is worth that alone. All items were reasonably priced and everything tasted amazing. You?ll be met with abusy staff and long line wrapped into the dining room if you go during a rush hour. Besides that, I know I had one of the bestbreakfast bagels in the Hudson Valley. I?ll be back very very soon! Hopewell Hot Bagels, keep doing what you?re doing - You?reexcellent at it. UPDATE NOVEMBER 2022: Removed one star. Don?t online order and expect it ready when scheduled because theirsystem does not work like that. You place an order through ToastTab and apparently it doesn?t appear till your requestedscheduled time on their end. Take this into consideration when placing your online order - It won?t be on time. They're pretty good. Saw a friend there, nice community. Bagels are really good, I love the bagels. Low-key might be biased,... went there after I had a three-some. BAGELS HIT! The bagels were good but the ambience was set. I saw my theater friend fromlike sixth grade. Read more
What happened to this place? I used to crave their donuts. They were OK but not as good as they used to be. Flavors of donuts... were still good but the textures were awful. The bagels still taste the same, they are very good. Why such a low rating?Terrible service. Ridiculously slow, bored, unfriendly staff. These bagels are the best I have ever eaten. But there are those jelly doughnuts filled with jelly that were DELICIOUS. Aside... from the food the staff makes the visit worthwhile. Each employee that has waited on me smiled and were extremely pleasant. Read more
I hate giving this place only two stars but I?ve given several chances since new ownership was taken and sadly there has been no... improvement. The bagels are delicious no doubt about that but the sandwiches are really sad. I got a BEC again this morning andit?s unfortunately ice cold, cheese isn?t melted at all and there is one small piece of bacon. This is a very sad breakfastsandwich. I did not order online, I walked in placed my order and waited. As you can see the cheese is not melted at all so Ithink we can agree the sandwich was not warm at all. Read more
Went there this week for the first time to try their bagels. The bagels are excellent. Far superior to supermarket bagels. ... They have a nice selection of cream cheese spreads, muffins, crumb cake and other goodies. Go you won't be disappointed. Read more
WORST SERVICE EVER. I ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese today with a girl named ALONNA, and got home 15 minutes away... to open up to 2 of these. When I brought it back and walked up to the counter the girl immediately says ? DO YOU WANT MORE?? Iwas taken back at the way she already knew what I was looking for? I asked if she could please re make them and she rips themout of my sisters hand and throws them in the garbage angrily. When she brought them back they had an obnoxious amount on themnow. Sad to say that my family and I will never be returning here and they really need new employees. To add to that she theowner then began posting and mocking the customers for being upset with the nasty service we received. Very dissapointing. Read more
Returned 11/25/22. New owners. Same awesome bagels. Rock on! Try the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter or the jalapeño with... veggie cream cheese with a hudson valley fresh chocolate milk. You will be gaurenteed to have a great morning. I have been goinghere since the grand opening up the street in the late 80s (tiramisu area) with the red and white checkered tiles.
