Entire place felt icky sticky. Sure could use a deep cleaning. Be careful using syrup. They are stored in melting ice and drippy... drops of water can land on your food from the bottom on dispenser. However, the staff was very polite and nice. At least thisone didt have an ant problem like the one on Hwy 301 by Coliseum Read more
I can live with finding hair in my food, but a Gawd! d@%! roach. An adult mama, or daddy roach at that. Lost me there. Waffle... House Legion Rd. Hopemills, NC 28348 will no longer get my service. Found stuff floating in drink, crispy waffle, cheese not even melted, no silverware. I would give 0 stars in I could.
Unfortunately, my first time at this new location was a true disappointment. I walked in to see that the sanitation score wasn't... visibly posted (I didn't see it anywhere and I always look at those when I eat at any Waffle House). The table I chose appearedclean from a distance, but it was not and the menus had food stuck on so I placed them off the table and didn't even use them. Iwas there with my 2 children (age 3 and 7). I only went for waffles, I ordered a double waffle (saves $1 vs. Getting 2) and aextra waffle for myself. It had been such a long time since I've ate at waffle house so I felt like tonight would be a treat,but I was tricked! I couldn't flag my waitress down after she only brought part of our order. I was in need of an extra plate,refill on my drink and once my waffle was delivered (by someone else) and I finally got to eat, when my kids were halfway donewith their waffles, I take a huge bite and realized MY WAFFLE ISN'T FULLY COOKED!!! I literally ate batter. Once anotherwaitress saw the distressed look in my face she asked me if I needed anything. I mentioned I needed a new waffle as this oneisn't completely done and showing her what it looked like. I think her assumption was that it simply wasn't cooked to mystandards, but it was far worse than that, I'm just not the type of woman who puts up a big fuss as I like to give people theopportunity to make it (above) right. The waffle I received as a replacement was fine, it wasn't hard or uncooked, it was soft,but I still had the taste of the uncooked waffle in my mouth that the texture of the new waffle just made me feel sick of eatinganymore. Ofcourse, since my kids finished eating way before me as we didn't get our meals at the same time, they are now lookingto eat from my plate (even though we all had the same portion). Sat, Oct 19, 2019. As the pictures clearly shows there was a fly in my coffee. The waitress we had took my coffee and fly and... tossed the whole brew that it came from. She brewed a fresh cup for me and apologized. There was one waitress there that didn'tcare at all as if it wasn't a big deal. Honestly it wasn't a big deal to me, but she shouldn't act that way. So if you go thereto eat, stay away from the "eastern bloc" looking waitress. You'll know it's her because she looks like a retired USSRpowerlifter that use to be on steroids. I stopped going to waffle houses during the night shift because I'm always upset by the time, I eat my food. The young dude did... not disappoint. Now as far as how long I stood there at the register just waiting for ANYONE TO ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGE ME WASATTROCIOUS. I can see if they were busy, but I could see that they were not. I and other customers were looking at each othertrying to figure out why these ladies were not taking my order. I'm a great tipper but this time I kept my money. Read more
